I would like to know what Gamefly considers a pre-paid subscription. I consider a pre-paid to be the monthly rate spread out over pre-paid agreement period. So if it's 12 months then a pre-paid subscription should be 12 x 21.95. Or does a pre-paid subscription mean it's a month-to-month charge with no refund for canceling the middle of the month? The response I got from tech support indicated they failed to comprehend my question. Thanx

I've been using Gamefly for about 3 weeks and the speed is pretty darn good for an East Coaster. I've received and sent back a total of 6 games so far with 7 & 8 already on the way. With the exception of one game, the Fast Return system has worked as promised. That could be more of a credit to my post office, but I really do nothing more than drop them in a street mailbox.
I'll probably stick with it for another month or so to catch up on some old releases.

Pre-paid means you paid up front for a certain period of time. If you want to prepay for 12 months you would be paying $263.40 (12 x $21.95) the first month, unless there is a special price for a 12-month sub, and not have to worry about the next 11 months. Your membership would then continue after the 12 months at the monthly rate unless you cancel.
A month-to-month membership is just that, you pay month-to-month.

I'm thus far, having an excellent gamefly experience.
I'm an East Coaster, they always have games in the mail before the old ones get back, and the games always arrived in pretty decent shape when they get here. Much cheaper then Blockbuster as well.

Reviving this thread, I signed up for a gamefly account about 2 weeks ago and it was painfully slow. I'm on the east coast and it was about 4-5 days until I received a game and about the same time going back. Apparently my PO does not participate in FastReturn. I cancelled today; is there another renting service on the east coast or midwest somewhere? CA is just too far for me it seems.
