I just hooked up my X-Box Live again (Re7rospec7 = gamertag), and I was looking to pick up some games that people are playing that are easy to get into while playing online.

I have Halo 2, but it seems like I'm too late in the game to start with this one, so a shooter that isn't Halo 2 would be nice.

I like sports games, but not online...I prefer the season modes.

Any good racing games out there online? Any shooters that aren't Halo 2?

I still really enjoy Crimson Skies and last I was on (few weeks ago), there was still plenty of games to join.

Counterstrike. It is cheap now, and still quite a few people play it.

what about the Ghost Recon games?

Ghost Recon is good....the new one is cheap now (they have the expansion pack/new game)

Forza is a good racing game...very SIM like though

MX vs ATV has some decent online play

It wouldn't be hard to get started w/ Halo 2. You will be a low rank, so you should get some relatively easy games.

All I really play on Live lately is Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. I'm hooked. It's a tough game to get into at first, but the payoff is incredible.
