Controller question...

Is there a controller out there that you can use the dpad instead of the joystick?

I love the EA Madden and NHL games, but they only let you use the joystick.

I want to use the D Pad like in the good old Nintendo days.

Thanks and sorry if this has been discussed before.

Most games are designed for analog control and the digital controller will limit what you can do severely.

Madden doesn't let you use the D-pad? I haven't played Madden in a few years, but you can use the D-pad to control the player in NCAA. I'm surprised they're different.

That kicks ass.

But be warned that if you hook up a digital-only controller to a game expecting analog control, you'll get some bizarre results (bottom line: the controller will not work). Learned this the hard way when I gave the guy doing my first PS2 mod-chip a PS1 controller to test it with.
