Where the Hell is the sequal to Eternal Darkness?

I was going to start playing this game in a couple of days and recalled that the end states to look out for the sequal. I think this game is probably one of the best games ever made. Any news on whats suppose to happen with a sequal?

It seems they have a couple projects lined up, none to be Eternal Darkness. Also they have some kind of deal with Sega and are no longer a Nintendo second party, so if they were to make another Eternal Darkness, it may very well be on any one or all of the next gen consoles.

Considering how horribly the first one sold (at least compared to its reviews), I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Exactly, great game, but sales were terrible. So no sequel.

Yeah, great game, one of my faves of this gen and all time. But we'll be lucky to get a sequel since it (like so many great, unique games) sold like shit.

Last I heard they'd just finished level 3; and need to tighten up the graphics a little bit.

The developers' moms also keep calling and hassling them about getting a real job, which is delaying the project.

Ahh, yes. Both games of which I would place at the top of this generation.

Do they factor in late sales? i.e. it underperformed out of the gate, but I'm sure there are plenty of people that picked it up cheap/used due to word of mouth and critical reviews.

I think both deserve a sequel and would perform better because of these reasons.

Last I read SK is now working on developing Too Human for 360. So it went from a Sony exclusive, to a Nintendo exclusive, to a MS one. To early to really tell.

I encourage everyone to check out their version of Metal Gear Solid, kicks the ass out of the other versions IMO. I have not played 3 though) It is also often over looked.

Eternal Darkness is a great game and yeah, Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes is worth playing through at least once (4 times for me). The Silicon Knights touch is very present in the game (in more ways than one).

Beyond Good & Evil sequel?!

Big mistake! They have big price tag for this game which is MSRP $49.99 then released it in wrong time when alot great & popular titles release in the same month.

That's the reason why the game itself didn't sell well cuz all the money go for BIG Hit titles.

yes I loved this game, it takes awhile but once you get into it it's one of the best experiences I've ever had with a game, lots of memorable moments that stick with me even today (i.e. three-thirty-three! I always point it out everytime i see it, it's funny because most people I work with don't have a clue what the hell i'm talking about but it's still fun to point out).

Unfortunatley I don't think Silicon Knights will ever make a sequel. Their next project, Too Human, used to be a Playstation One game, then an N64 game, then a Gamecube game, then n-gage, then gizmondo, now microsoft. Is it ever gonna come out???? SK is so slow they're practically the next Rare. But MGS:TT was sweet for a last hurrah!
