It seems like the new generation will encourage the use of a webcam type device for online gaming--Is this something that people have been wanting?
It seems strange to have a camera pointing at yourself so people can watch you as well as the game. Is it meant to enhance trashtalking?
Is it meant more for non-gaming? like in chatroom situations? I really dont see any healthy uses for it there (especially with the male/female ratio being so lopsided with gamers).
Would you use one? If so, would you change your backdrop? Is the background where you typically play videogames the image you would like to present to other online gamers? Would you change something?
Maybe this would create a market for theme backdrops behind users--like the battle bridge on the death star? Hows that for geek factor?

We've got the Eyetoy, and it's a pretty neat idea, but I don't have any interest in 'webcam gaming'. I think it would be using bandwidth better spent on, well, the game.

Would never even consider hooking one up for gaming. Don't think I would want to see all the a-holes playing online either so hopefully you can turn it off. I never even used the headset when playing Crimson Skies.

I think that Eyedentify is an interesting concept, if it can be pulled off. But for being used as a chat device, or "gamer-view" device, I think it is worthless.

No... hell no - I don't want a 'peniscam' - which is what it will be... scores of teenage boys presenting their junk all day long. I don't mind the idea that we could import our pictures as avatars in games or scoreboards or something, but live webcams can go to hell forever.

I saw the eyedentify trailer, it's one of the sweetest looking eyetoy games that I've seen. (but that's not saying much.)
