If it gets good reviews, I'll rent it.

I am buying it regardless of the reviews. I have waited a long time for at least a decent Batman video game and this one looks pretty sweet after watching the trailers on MTV and IGN.

I don't care much about NEW Release games coming out unless it RARE & hard to find later (most of atlus games). Otherwise, i rather wait till it drop down $10 - $20 cuz i still over 150 brand new & seal games in the line to unseal.

It just blows my mind when people say they have 150 sealed games sitting around waiting to be played. How many of those games did you pay full price for, and watch the value plummet before your eyes? Granted if a game is good, the value (non price that is) won't plummet. But if that's the case, why not buy all your games if they're $10 or so?

nick, wondering about these things is just a waste of time. There are some questions that are just unanswerable. Questions like "Why would anyone choose to end every single post with a smiley face?"

Between bargin bins , sales , clearance sales , and ebgames.com randomly dropping the price of a game for a few hours here and there it isn't hard to have that many games sitting around sealed. That is if you just don't care what the game is really about and start buying any cheap thing.

So... uh, yea.... Back to Batman. I have a feeling the game will be very short and have very little extras. Has anyone heard a single thing about extra modes or unlockables that may or may not be in BB?

The Kmart ad that was in the mail this Thursday (06/09) says that the PS2 version will be on sale for $29.99 (starting 06/15). The movie ticket will also be included inside......

I noticed that as well, at that price point I would be more then willing to just buy blind then resell in a few days if it turns out to be a dud, still get a free movie ticket.

Why did they price it so low? My thinking is this game could be bad.

Picked this up today, of note only the ps2 version has the movie ticket advertised. After a few hours with it I am coming away with a positive impression, the game does stress stealth, if a thug has a gun you can forget just jumping out in the open, takes only a few shots for batman to be killed. Those armed with a weapon are seperated from those that don't by colors on the hud.

Level design so far has been pretty good, taking advantage of gliding, wall hugging, pipe climbing and other assorted moves. Batman's animation is a little odd but after awhile I stopped even noticing. Combat is passable, could be better but it gets the job done. Square and triangle are the attack buttons, circle is the special move button.

The batmoble level I reached was a blast, not much to it other then ram thug cars off the road before launching missles at a truck but it last for 7 minutes. Armor meter was a bit short though, lose the armor and car blows up, game over. Now for the bad for some , batarangs and the grappling hook basically can only be used when the designers felt they should be, a little icon appears. Doesn't bother me but for those looking for something not quite so forced this isn't it.

I'm happy to say that my copy of the game came in from RedOctane today. I joined up a few weeks ago because I was tired of the shitty selection at Blockbuster.

My wife wanted to some together tonight but now I have other plans.

Well that was that, beat the game today and it was a fun ride , I didn't even miss the boss fights as soon the environment became more hostile and most of my attention was focused on setting up scares so I could deliver more two fisted justice. Overall thumbs up in my opinion, even if I did spoil the hell out of the movie for myself

I too think think it's a good game. It's like Splinter Cell For Dummies. The traps and things are fun but I wanted the game to be a bit more open. I don't care for parts of Splinter Cell but I do think that being able to solve an area a number of ways is impressive and I was upset that this game was so linear.

The movie footage they use in the game is great but they play a few clips WAY too fast and it just ends up being kinda lame.

I'm a bit upset that I was so tempted to rent the game before seeing the movie. Normally it's not something I do but I was so excited at the idea of a good Batman game that I couldn't control myself. I'm going to pass on the movie until it hits DVD.

I stopped playing it after 10 minutes after realizing I just ruined the beginning of the movie for myself
