Battery Replacement for GBA SP?

Is it possible to replace the battery on a Gameboy Advance SP? If so, where can I get one and would should I expect it to cost?

I noticed last week that the battery wasn't lasting long after it was charged and that sometimes the red light would come on once in a while even when it was fully charged. Now the red light's always on, and I can't play more than 5 minutes without it dying on me, even when I'm playing with the battery charger plugged in.

I lost the manual for it a while back, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks....
jim

Honestly, I would call Nintendo, they might hook you up for free. How old is your SP? How many hours have you logged on it?

Nintendo.com has all the info you need to find out about battery replacement.

You can order the battery from Nintendo for $15. You need a small screwdriver to replace it.

I'm not sure how good it is. But at Toys R Us they have Intec replacement batteries for the SP. The package comes with 1 replacement battery and a special screwdriver. I think the price was around 10-13 bucks?

Well, I feel pretty stupid now. Turns out that I just had it plugged into a faulty outlet.

Thanks for the help anyway. At least now I know what to do when the battery does run out. (And if I keep playing Warioware: Twisted at this rate, the battery should die within a couple more days.)

I was shocked at how cheap the replacement battery is from Nintendo. $15 is a steal. They use to charge PDA owners $50-$100 to replace a similar battery a couple of years ago.
