Black Hawk Down....when?

Ok, I have Black Hawk Down pre-ordered at GameRush. I'm just wondering when the game is availabe? At GameRush, it said 5/18/05...other sites say next month.

Just curious....seems like the game could be fun on LIVE

Looks like it did get pushed. I usually check gamefly.com because they always seem to have the most up to date release times.

They are showing the Xbox version now as TBD and the PS2 version as 6-16-05. after watching the behind the scenes stuff on an Xbox demo disc, I am looking forward to this titles as well.

Is anybody else worried that this game might suck??? The official release date is now 7-5-05. It was supposed to be out in April. Maybe they are having problems with the multiplayer. I've got 3 copies preordered from Gamerush so I am keeping my fingers crossed....

I thought it was 6/21/05? OH well....I'm sure the 50+ LIVE aspect of the game is causing some difficulties.

At this point who knows. I know a couple of months ago there was allot hype and hopes for this game. Then that dreade word "Delayed" appeared. I just a seach and theres not much even from Novalogic's site. Their last news post.."Hot"...dated early May has street release date of July 5th.

Now I'm not one to talk on this since it's been a long time being online period but if ever a game screems for online play this is it. Just the thought of having 20-25 fellow DVD gamers all at once and on the same side at that would be amazing. We'll just have to wait and see.

Yeah....so, is the release date the 19th or the 26th? I've seen both? I have it pre-ordered at GameRush (not sure how much time I'll have to play it...between GTA:SA, NCAA 06 and others)

Ok, release date tomorrow...any new news on it yet? I have it on pre-order at GameRush, so I guess I'll find out. Hopefully LIVE play is good.

Over at www.teamxbox.com they have a review up for it. They gave it a (8.0). Still no new movies. Not much else on the review front either. This has been one mysterious game so far.

Is this the same Blawk Hawk Dawn I've had for PC for a few years? Does this come with the Team Sabre add on pack? Or is it just the Somalia missions?

I think it's the same game...not sure how much has changed. MY GameRush did not have it yesterday, but hopefully today. REviews seemed positive at teamxbox.com

The PS2 version got 4/10 in Edge but I gather the Xbox version is being developed by a different group.

Name a good FPS on PS2 though. Xbox should handle it better. Let's hope.

RVP,

If you have not opened the game yet, don't open it. Return it to Gamerush asap. The gameplay is a joke and the graphics are even worse. It looks like a really bad dated pc game. It takes about 2 minutes for each map to load on xbox live. You can't even tell where the enemies are at because the graphics sucks. Avoid this game at all costs. I rented it at Ballsbuster using my free coupon and it still feels like i got ripped off.

My brother likes it, he's a military buff. He likes it better than the latest MOH. Maybe it's just not my cup of tea. Anyhoo, if you don't like it you can trade it in at Gamerush for about $35.

I agree with this to some point...we just rented it from Blockbuster yesterday and did a couple of missions. We are playing on a 24" TV and due to the graphics being as they are, it's really hard to see enemies at times. Some are off in the distance and are just small dots that you can barely make out. You do have binoculars but by the time you take them out, find someone, you get blindsided by a shot from elesewhere. My appeal on getting this game was that it was a military game that also offered split-screen mission play for two players. In that regards its good, but again, the graphics makes it really hard to distinguish enemies from bystanders and other objects. In split-screen its even worse since your screen becomes 1/2 of the original size.
