Conker? ever?

Anyone know what the deal is with Conker for Xbox? IGN gives a release date of June 21, 2005. Is this actually going to happen? They showed it at the 2003 E3 with a release that November of that year...

So, whats up? Are they over hauling the game or what? I understood it was a N64 remake with online support.

I still think it's on for that date. There's a single-player demo of the SPR level on the SE of Jade Empire. It's pretty damn sweet.

I think they've overhauled it several times.

I think it would have gotten released sooner if they just started a new adventure from scratch instead of retooling and retooling over and over on a title from last generation.

You do realize you're talking about Rare right?

Yeah Rare's name refers to how often they put out games... rarely. I can think of better things to do with a third of a Billion dollars!

Rare's the reason I wonder if there's any chance that Perfect Dark Zero will actually be released at the launch of the XBox 360.

From the reports, this version of the game is actually MORE censored than the Nintendo version, which i noticed on some of the screen shots as well.

the screens look really nice though. Hope it comes out soon, Rare is really living up to its name, literally

I thought the N64 game had a great personality. I hope they don't water it down.

I doubt it. It's the same exact game with new graphics.

But Outlaw mentioned above that it appears to be more censored than the N64 version.

Supposedly though you can get rid of the censors by playing the multiplayer mode. Looks like they are trying to build incentive for multiplayer.

If so that's still lame for those like me who won't touch the multiplayer mode.

There's a demo on Jade Empire, and it doesn't seem to be watered down from what I recall (the Normandy landing parody, which my friends and I used to play all the time), although that mainly applies to blood. I don't know about cursing.

yeah blood is never censored in any games on any consoles as far as I've seen, it's the profanity that's censored as is evident since have changed the subtitle from "Live and uncut" to "Live and Loaded. Normally I couldn't care less about something like that but in this game, it's part of what makes this game what it is, especially songs that are sung by giant poo monsters (the screens i saw were from that battle). It was kind of funny that in the N64 version there was an inconsistancy in the *bleeping*, you'd hear someone say shit or a-hole and when the other person talking to him says it it would be bleeped out, pure genius . It won't have a huge effect on the game but its still bothersome that a game thats rated M for Mature has to be censored, especially since no one seemed to have a problem with the previous version. But it sounds like they're doing it as a marketing push to get people on Live.
