Bioware has confirmed they are working on two RPG's for the Xbox 360. Mark my words, KOTOR 3 is one of them. :)

Neither will be a launch title from the looks of it. Looks like I'll be buying the 360 for the same reason I bought the Xbox -- to play Knights of the Old Republic.

I was already going to buy a xbox360 anyway but that just makes me even more excited. I was just thinking about what Bioware had instore for the 360 last night while I was playing Jade Empire. KOTOR3 on xbox 360 :drool:

Things are sounding better and better for the 360. This makes me glad I put up 50 bucks at Gamestop to get it at launch :up:

So is this the going rate for the 360 if you want to pre-order it? Right now I'm trying to decide whether I should pre order it or not. I know I'll definetlly pre order the ps3 due to it's popularity. You guys don't think microsoft will have a shortage of 360's at launch, do you? The only reason I want to pre order, is that I don't want to have to go through the madness that I went through with the ps2. Having to win a damn lottery just to be able to pay for a 300 dollar ps2. I lucked out at amazon a few weeks later with my new fast cable modem. I learned a lesson though with so few new good titles at system launch, it's not the worst thing in the world if you aren't the first one on the block to get it. I didn't really get into the ps2 till grand theft auto came out.

Yes, as far as I know, 50$ for a preorder on the 360 is the going rate. I put mine down a few weeks ago right after the Mtv show. I preordered at an EBgames and they told me that as of right now, they were only allowed to take 14 preorders. Everybody else was to be put on a waiting list. It was a good friend of mine that works there, so I believe him. if they have raised the number yet, I'm not sure. The price they had in their computer was 500$ but this is subject to change and probably will unless they are making you buy a bundle deal with a few games etc... Hope you get one!

The preorder "cost" means nothing besides an anticipated cost they have no clue what the actual cost will be. The retailer is free to change it up or down as they wish. So if you preorder be prepared to pay a lot on launch day to be on the safe side. (alot being relative to each system)

Next generation games are likely to increase in price at the current rate of increased development costs, therefore anticipate at least $60 per game to be on the safe side.

Thanks for the replies. Right now I'm leaning torwards just taking a chance and trying to find it opening day somewhere. Worst case scenario, I don't get it opening day. There's no title on opening day that I must play, maybe if there was a knights of the old republic or splinter cell. I also don't want a bloody bundle that usually comes with games you don't want. I have a feeling that I'll be able to get an xbox 360 first day, but I'm taking no chances on the ps3. That baby I'll have pre ordered as soon as I can. In the mean time, I'm going to get a new hdtv for next generation gaming. I don't want to play games on my current rptv, and my tube tv in my room in which I play games on, is going on me. I'm leaning torwards the toshiba 26HF84. My room is small, I can't afford a flat panel, and most tv's out there don't even have 1080p yet. I think this will be a perfect fit for me for the next 3 years before 1080p comes mainstream. We'll see what happens with the hddvd/blueray war that's going on.

Is that Tosh a widescreen model? If not, consider getting one. Sony has a 24-incher and there are 26-inchers to choose from several manufacturers.

I have never had a problem getting hardware at launch including the PS2. You simply have to go to Target when they open and buy one. Most of the time they will have them in stock the first day or two. If you wait too long though and the quanities are limited they will sell out. Don't feel you have to preorder at EB and Gamestop though unless you can't get to a store on launch day. They pushed that crap with the PSP and you could still walk into almost any store a week later and buy one.

Yes, widescreen hdtv. It looks like a good deal to me. I've had good experiences with Toshiba. I can probablly buy it in a month.

I'm actually getting one of those new slim CRT TVs. Samsung has one that is 30" Widescreen HDTV that is only 16" deep. Circuit City has them for $900. Philips/LG is coming out with one that is only 14" deep. Definitely a space saver considering most run well over 20" deep.

I have a Wega widescreen 30" HD DirectView and it goes in the corner so the rear doesn't take up much space since it squeezes in there. By the time I need a new one I see myself getting an ultrathin LCD :up:
