If I had to pick from the three designs, I'd lean slightly to the Nintendo; its design maintains what I liked about the Cube: small and simple. But to be honest, I can't say for sure because I've only seen pictures. I want to see them in person before I say what I like best. I certainly don't think any of them have been disappointing looking at the least, with maybe Xbox 360 being white only possible negative, but it's so minor. I'm not going to get excited about the look or the specs of any machine because I'm buying them all to play games, and I've yet to be shown much of that yet. *cue violin music*

I like the less is more Nintendo look. Off to watch the presentation online. |

I thought GameSpot was going to broadcast it for free, but apparently not. It was free last year, but now you gotta subscribe...bummer.

http://img.engadget.com/common/image...17214566013966 I like small and I like flat. I'm thinking that Nintendo decided to go small and cheap and forgo power though. That's a bummer. The Nintendo is so small, I can't believe they packed much more than what Gamecube has inside. |
Well I'm a subscriber, and I'm still not seeing shit.

Crap, maybe I got it wrong and it starts at 10am PST.
|
No, Gamespot has it listed as 9AM PST, but it's just showing a picture of the Nintendo logo and playing music.

Guess I won't be here to see it then. Oh well, I can always just download the video later.

Is the Nintendo Conference on yet?

The Nintendo is so small, I can't believe they packed much more than what Gamecube has inside. I don't buy into the power/size argument. The PS3 looks to be MUCH smaller than the Xbox 360 and is 35 BILLION TIMES MORE POWERFUL THAN THE PS2! Either way, raw power is only going to take games so far this generation. |
I wonder how much it will cost to develop a PS3 game that actually pushed the hardware to the max much less filled a Blue Ray DVD?
|
Dumb question but does this conference start at Noon central standard time?

You know despite all this buzz over the consoles I'm really more interested in hearing about the upcoming DS lineup from Nintendo. I hope they talk about that a lot during the briefing.
The DS games and PoPoLoCrois on the PSP are high on my want list. |

/End conspiracy theory. ;) Yeah, yeah.. it'll likely go the OTHER way but you can't help to think the way the "industry" is going it ends up black holing itself. |
18 minutes according to www.nintendo.com!

The design is fine by me. Black, sleek, and stackable. But if they want to cater to the older crowd HD is a must. But then again we really don't know what this box is capable of yet. Maybe some 3d thing that can't be done in HD? |
i love the design, but no HD...suicide on their part.
