Unreal Championship...
I was pretty good at Unreal Championship, the first one for Xbox.
I was really excited about this new one out, but I really stink at it.
Anyone else feel the same way?

Well Barney you may have opened a can of worms on this but then again...
I'm going out on a limb on this so to answer your question yes several have stated they "stink" or "suck" at this but that shouldn't keep you from trying to have fun. First you must realize that the "new" UC2 was built from the ground up for the XBox only. The first Unreal was semi-ported from the pc version. Second is the added "melee" feature which Unreal fans have been asking years for. Before is was move, point, and shoot. Now it's a bit more thinking and button mashing involved with hand combat thrown in the mix.
I'm not the one to offer advice since I'm not even at the halfway mark but try...
(1) a lower difficulty setting than what you're using now. Not in just "Story Mode" but in "Instant Action" as well. Get use to the characters ability's and don't hesitate to try different weapon combos and moves. You can set up maps with just you alone so you can practice moving, shooting, and melee.
(2) Do allot of "Team Deathmatch" games. That way you won't be trying to hard against several opponents at once and leave you frustrated. I actually like this mode just to see what bot teammates I get.
(3) Learn the "adrenaline" moves and what they do. Without them you're toast.
(4) http://www.unrealchampionship2.com ..The offical site and offical forum. The folks that hang out there probably know as much on UC2 as the DEV's do. There's plenty of tips and plenty of those asking for them.
I won't be suprised if "BeanDip0001" post here. He's already finsihed the game and can give you even more input. Yes I get cranky at the game myself but I'll end up plugging in one of those off-the-wall mutators and get a good laugh. Better yet I'll whip up on those weak "Nali" in "Nali Slaughter". That's a great way to get melee down. Remember it's just a game.

ah who cares if you're not any good. if you're having fun and you like the game that is all that matters. i suck at halo, need for speed underground, counter strike, etc. but i still play the shit out of em. the unreal game is a long one it took almost 3 days and nights to get it done, but getting malcom sucked the worst. you have to beat a human player (a real person) in every damn game type. oh well. have fun.

Sometimes games with unlockables are a real pain in the ass....
Anyway Barney, no one can suck worse than me at video games but once you get into a game with people who don't give you shit about you're being a n00b then it becomes fun. Even if you're getting your ass kicked.
I've found that some of the younger players are the most willing to show you how to play games. They tend to be patient when you ask how certain moves are done.

Yeah robo I agree about having fun. That's why I like playing with most of the DVD Talk members, because we're all adults and have real lives out side of the video games. But I’ve found it more fun to repeatedly kill the 12 year olds over and over and over.
