What about the PS2 playing PSX games?

First for Nintendo. Though they did have plans to release an adapter to play NES games on the SNES, but they figured it wasn't worth it at the time because odds were, if you had an SNES you had an NES. I think backwards compatibility is a big thing right now, with a lot of people owning more than one system and having collected so many great games in the last few years, being able to play those games along on the new systems without adding MORE clutter to a crowded gaming setup is huge.

i too have all three systems. though i havent touched my gamecube in over 4 months. this is mainly because i moved away from the college scene to live on my own and now my time is limited... the games i do play, i'm usually playing it for PS2 exclusives,
i have 4 gc controllers and mostly 4player games, i'm really thinking of selling it too, but rather than ebay which could be a hassle, i'm thinking of either putting it up on craigslist with a set price, hopefully someone local would want it and pick it up from me. or i'll just trade it for store credit at games-4-less (gives generous store credit), so i could use it to buy a psp later (waiting for some games to come out on psp and see if there are any improvements..so probably this holiday season)

for the next generation i'm most likely only going to buy one console...and its looking like the PS3...can't beat it for the exclusvies games.

You would probably do better listing the games and system in the trade forum with set prices. Since the games are ones that are in demand the DVDtalkers would pretty much swoop them up.
