The PS3 mockup looks like it has leather on the outside.... or maybe it's just glare on the plastic.

Everyone has DVD players, there's no other option for playing GB games on the big screen.
[b]edit:[b] Also, the GB player is an add on, so people that don't want it arent' forced to pay extra for it when buying the console, as people that don't want UMD playback at home (and who does ) will have to if it's built into every PS3.

I seriously doubt the PS3 will play UMD since they are already losing money on the system at launch and if they make it compatible with the PS2 and UMD it will raise their cost on each unit. I can see them keeping it compatible with the PS2 since they did that with the PS2 and PS1. the difference in the GB playable on the GC is that you have to buy an add on so they werent losing money on it. but if they do make it compatible with all 3 formats then it would be great. and I think that unit looks ugly as hell, but I would still buy it since the games are what matters to me.

BeanDip0001 doesn't joke about consoles. I think it's fugly and boring. I like the black cube look much more. The brick is slightly nicer looking and from the front it looks pretty cool with the green circle lit up.

As long as a consoles a normal color and a reasaonble size I have couldn't care less how it looks.
The only ones I haven't liked were the indigo GC (no biggie as I got the black) and the X-box as it's too big and heavy and took some juggling to get into my entertainment center. Though the look of it is fine otherwise.

it is ugly dude, the brick is a sweet looking system IMHO, but to each his own as they say, the PS2 is not a good looking system by any means, I remember on launch day when I got it thinking to myself how godawful looking the thing was, I actually like the slim system better. Hopefully for sony's sake they will not put this thing out, it looks like one of those old shitty boomboxes I had when I was a kid only it's got slots and shit all over it. it would be cool if it had some green on it and it said microsoft all over it............J/K!!

funny how all the xbox fanboys group together when it's ps2 bashing time. face it, the xbox is one ugly pos. the gamecube looks like a kids toy. the ps2 looks the best. sorry, but it's the truth. you can't beat it's sleekness. it's funny how there are so many people out there that mod their xbox. too bad it's still an ugly brick in the end. all the flashing lights and window cut outs in the world still don't hide the fact that it's fugly. lol.

Oh and by the way fumanstan I can't believe you didn't know that tek2k had his masters degree in videogame console aesthetics.

The wood paneling on the 2600 takes it out pretty quickly. The clunky loading design of the NES knocks it way down. The American SNES is pretty crappy compared to the Japanese one. The Dreamcast is pretty nice actually, more understated than anything.
The original PS2 could have been a little smoother around the edges, but of the current gen, it is the best looking. I love my Cube and Xbox, but the cube is pretty goofy looking, and I need a damn hand truck to move the Xbox around.
The Gameboy Advance SP is very sleek.
Under the main photo in the OP is another picture of what looks like the system with both sides rounded and a silver casing. That's not too bad IMHO.
