There's no newer games that I want to play. Besides, I don't want to do what this guy did.

I probably ruined my own set of roms trying to use clrmame pro to merge all of them

Actually that turned out ok. I ran clrmame again to split them back and they're fine. It just was a waste of time, more than anything.

I guess the other question is what's your top speed in the Atari versions? It's 180 when I switched it to MPH. No change in gameplay.

It's 195 mph. I wonder what the top speed in the arcade game is?

Obviously it depends on which version of mame they use.
And yeah, I call shenanigans on that Gorf score!

Sorry D300, but I gotta disqualify your score now. I downloaded version .67 and there are major differences in the default settings besides the car being 15mph faster.

.67

.94

It's too different. I have to assume everyone else is using a more up to date version than you.

Sorry, you're DQ'd too. I will make sure to clarify that in the rules.

That's okay, I may try a newer version and play again.
At least you know I wasn't cheating on purpose.

We'll really take your word for it. You don't have to use the high score screen for Gorf. Pole Position doesn't give you much of a chance to avoid it.

Nice score on Pole Position. I know that you would take my word for it, but if you can take a screenshot that shows that you only did 3 ships, you might as well use it.

No, no, no, no! Top score screens SUCK! I hate em! Please, no more! I'd rather see one where we can actually tell what the game is, and even better if we can see where you died. I am keeping all of these for posterity, afterall. Do you really want all your scores just to be a screen of numbers? I think not!

Thanks, that's the only game where I didn't crash.
Still can't drive clean enough to get the next extended play.

I'm not really sure why this score is about 100K higher than another score I made (and where I got further), but this is the highest I've scored so far.

Also, I may not be back at my computer before the switch over, so if we're picking games and my score holds, I'll say E-SWAT Cyber Police

Yes, we're still picking games. The deadline is going to be Thursday night. Let's say 11:59 EST.
