How good are the 3rd party HD XBOX cables?

Looking to buy the HD component cable (5 plugs) for my XBOX. Saw they can be had for $10 shipped on ebay. Anyone have it? It is good? Or should I shell out the $50 for Monster cables?

I wouldn't buy either. Just buy the HD Pack from Microsoft. Only $20, and I couldn't tell a quality difference between it and the moster cables.

i have those cheap ones off ebay...I think I got mine for like 9 or 10 bucks. They look alright to me...I used to have Svideo cable connection and then I bought these component ones. I can't really tell alot of difference between Svideo and Component...I have a 52 inch RCA HD Monitor. But I have yet to play a 1080i game yet...my tv will only do 480p and 1080i...it won't do the 720p. If i had my time back I would have bought the Microsoft HD Pack for 20 bucks...they look a little higher quality and I would have the ability to hook my xbox up to my surround sound system. If I were you I wouldn't get Monster cables....I really don't think you will tell any difference with those....you will only have blown 50 bucks.

I got the HD pack by MadCatz (I believe that's the one).
I notice some grain on my screen especially on the Xbox dashboard. It almost looks like rain falling diagonally across my screen.

I don't notice this while playing games but only when I examine the picture up close.

I'd stick to the one by MS.

For what it's worth, I've played Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy, Syberia, and MX Unleashed. The first being a 720P game and the latter two are 1080I...all three games look amazingly sharp on the widescreen.

For reference:
