Things like the sailing are in all RPGs, thinking back to games like the old FF games on the SNES I remember how long it could take to get from point a to point b because you had to stop and fight enemies all time (90% of who were so weak compared to my levels that they were easily dispatched). At least with the sailing there was lots of stuff to find on the way if you were paying attention and trying to find 100% of the items.

That does cut down on a ton of the time you have to spend sailing, while admittedly not getting rid of it altogether.
to be fair, even with those songs, there was still way to much sailing. That and you didn't learn the songs until later in the game after you had sailed 50 miles. It was a decent idea, with poor execution.

I saw this last night.. and I can't coat this any other way I'm afraid: Anybody who fell for this is an idiot.. and anybody who thought it looked better than the real Wind Waker (or thought it looked even remotely close to the screenshots they have released of the new Zelda) is seriously artistically handicapped.
Furthermore, how oh how exactly does adding poor textures to and removing the color from a game make it "mature?" We are living in a pretty cold gaming world devoid of artistry and imagination if people actually think that.
