X-Box Baseball...So what's the concensus?

So which is it? Price isn't an option since they're only $10 apart.

Espn 2k5 or MVP 2005?

Looks like it's mixed honestly. Both seem to be GOOD games...I'll let you know after I get 2K5 in the mail this week. MVP is darn good though, but I must compare to be fair

Ive been playing MVP for a week now, and its fantastic. They fixed most of the problems from last year (lefty HR bug, etc) and developed a very strong game. With Pared's sliders from Operation Sports , the game plays very well, with realistic stats. There is a new roster update on Xbox live that updates the rosters well (Magglio-Tigers, Sosa-Orioles, etc).

Now, I havent played 2k5 yet, but according to OS (above) and this blog by Bill Abner and Dan Clarke (2 very respected sports game guys), 2k5 is a piece of garbage that is riddled with bugs, including a massive wild pitch/passed ball bug, that will basically "ruin the game". But, like I said...i havent played it...but I have played MVP 05, and it is VERY, VERY good.

After having MLB2K5 unopened for a few days, I exchanged it for MVP. Too many scary sounding bugs in MLB.

MVP is pretty awesome.

remember there is only a $5 difference between MVP and MLB2K5 if you buy it at BB with there video game gift card. I bought MVP by doing this yesterday and it came out to $26.93. works all the time.

Nope , it's a $10 difference. Got MLB 2K5 for $16.23 last week. Haven't played it yet, though since I just got GT4.

I'm going to stick with MVP. I loved last years version and I'm loving this one even more.

I can't say anything about 2K5 because I haven't played it yet but I did play last years version and didn't care for it. Maybe I'll rent 2K5 this weekend and see how it plays.

Played MVP briefly and traded it away. I'd have to go with 2K5 as the production values are so much better. I also like the 2K5 pitching better. Sometimes less is more....

I got both at the same time, and I definitely prefer MVP. There just seems to be too many bugs and missed details in 2K5. I just keep going back to MVP. That's too bad since this is the end of the road for that game.
