How Limited Are This Games Going To Be!?
Is it going to be limited like Halo 2?
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory Limited Collector's Edition
The Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Chaos Theory Limited Collectors Edition includes:
* A unique metallic embossed collector box.
(I hope it looks just as good as Halo2 or better)
DOOM 3: The Collector's Edition
*It doesn't say anything about having a Metallic Collector Box

I still see "Limited" edition Halo 2's at Best Buy. I also still see limited Fable's, Mortal Kombat's, and Mechassault 2's. This whole limited thing pisses me off. I hate paying full price for games. But if it is limited I dont want to have to overpay on ebay later.

Most limited dvd's aren't limited at all, but besides the pc versions the limited editions are pretty new to games. I hate how much the limited branding suckers me into wanting the special version, pathetic really. But a limited edition is a good way to get me to pay more for a game.

Yeah...I'm sure EVENTUALLY the limited editions will sell out, but not like in the first week or month or year even. It just means that they will not repress it after the first batch are done probably.....
It's just a way they can get our $5 or $10 for a little bit of fluff (although, the Doom 3 LE appears to be worth it)

Considering I buy games to PLAY, I wouldn't care if it came in a brown paper wrapper. At least I could wipe my ass with that.

Never saw a LE of Fable???
I only bought Halo Limited b/c it was one I knew I would keep until Halo 3 comes out or until I get Xbox 2 or PS 3. It was only 5 bucks more and I knew it would be easier to trade when it comes that time. I still haven't touched the extras dvd yet.
I would not buy any of these as an investment as you can see that very few games even 20 years or older are worth anything special. I would buy only if the LE is not much more so you can have a little more edge in trading them in the future.

i don't think limited editions of hugely popular games like halo 2 are gonna be worth much because everyone has one. now if they ever came out with an Ikaruga limited edition tin case or something, that would be worth loads.
