What SNES game is this?

I used to play this all the time years ago, but I've since forgotten the name. I usually played it against another person and there were blocks on your side of the screen that you had to clear. And if you made a really great move, you dumped a ton of blocks on your opponents side of the screen. Gradually the screen filled up and one person lost.

Any ideas?

you've just described practically every puzzle game in existence! Can you describe the blocks at all? Did they have happy faces on them?

I'm thinking that you might be thinking of something like Tetris Attack... which was turned into Pokemon Puzzle League (which is a great game).

Even though I might be wrong, here's some fun history on Tetris Attack:

hey back off.. it wasn't tetris attack unless tetris attack lets you drop huge blocks down on your opponent..

the blocks did have faces on them and right after you did a great move there would be a whole bunch of little stars that would go into the middle before the blocks fell on your opponent.

Sounds like the N64 game Mickey's Magical Tetris, but without the faces.

Tetris vs. Dr. Mario is a good one too.

Tetris Attack is one of the all time greats for two player marathons.

I may have spent just as much time playing Tetris Attack as I had playing GoldenEye or StarCraft.

No, it's got to be Kirby's Avalanche. Which is yet another rendition of Puyo Pop along with Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine.

Another Puyo Pop rip-off... Wacky Stackers!

... and there was a Mac version called Skittles that I used to play a lot back on '96.

Puyo Puyo is the most frustrating game I've ever played
