I hope since it's gonna be a Xbox Live title, EA Sports will update the rosters year in, year out if they can't find a way to make any more MVP games..

I doubt EA would even be able to do that since they don't have the rights to use player names or team names etc.
A fan should be able to do them, just like you can download rosters for the NCAA Football series.

Just preordered: Spider-Man PSP and MVP Baseball PSP at EB games. The manager at EB games said that he heard from corporate that the PSP will cost only $150!!! Nothing officials, just passing along what he told me. I just hope the games will cost $39, which is a good chance it might looking at the Japanese prices.

$150 and $39 games would be killer. Be damn tempting at those prices, though I'll probably hold off for a year or two until it drops to $99 and I'm hopefully done with grad school and have more spare time.

Gamers report PSP malfunction
Nearly 5,000 units are returned to Sony for buggy button; Kutaragi unapologetic about the handheld's design.
TOKYO--About 4,800 Japanese PSPs have been returned to Sony due to problems with the handheld's square button, according to a recent interview with Sony Computer Entertainment president Ken Kutaragi in Nikkei Business magazine.
Kutaragi acknowledged that the button is less responsive than the others, in part because it's so close to the PSP's 480x272 screen. Because there isn't enough room to put the square button's detection switch directly underneath, it's off to the right, making it less responsive--and sometimes causing it to stick.
Nikkei Business reported that, to date, .6 percent of the 800,000 shipped units have been returned to Sony for repair. Kutaragi was unapologetic about the issue: "This is the design that we came up with. There may be people that complain about its usability, but that's something which users and game software developers will have to adapt to. I didn't want the PSP's LCD screen to become any smaller than this, nor did I want its machine body to become any larger.
"The button's location is [architectured] on purpose," Kutaragi added. "It's according to specifications. This is something that we've created, and this is our specification. There was a clear purpose to it, and it wasn't a mistake."
Offering additional testimony praising the handheld, Kutaragi said, "I believe we made the most beautiful thing in the world. Nobody would criticize a renowned architect's blueprint that the position of a gate is wrong. It's the same as that."

I think sacrificing functionality for design is pretty retarted.
I tend to like all my buttons on a control pad to work equally well.

I was watching some videos on Lumines today, man this game looks like fun! This has to be one of the best looking puzzle games in a long time! Very original! Just hope it shines over here in the states. Here some good news that it might...
Ubisoft brightening Lumines' day?

It appears that Lumines, a PSP puzzle game previously available only in Japan, may be headed to North America. According to online retailer GameStop.com, the title has been picked up by Ubisoft and will be available in March.
Ubisoft was unable to offer an official confirmation, but a staffer there did say the company would "likely make an announcement next week."
Lumines was a launch title for the PSP when the handheld was released in Japan last month. The game combines Tetris-style gameplay with a colorful background that changes appearance with the music's soundtrack.
The game's release is yet another clue that the PSP is scheduled to surface in North America this March.

Three North American titles are confirmed to have head-to-head net play.
February 7, 2005 - Could it be that the PlayStation Portable will set the record as the first major videogaming system to launch in North America with internet play ready to go on launch day? Even online-ready game systems such as Dreamcast and Xbox left gamers waiting for the parent companies to roll out their major network plans, but we're about to see a handheld do on Day One what consoles took their time with. Sony has its gear together from the past two years of PlayStation 2 net development, and with its upcoming portable system capable of both local and hotspot-carried online connectivity, the company will have three of its sports games ready to connect and play online.

I had my dreamcast on the net on Sept. 9th 1999, wasn't playing games, but I wouldn't say I was waiting on Sega "to roll out their major network plans". Sure there were no games that were available to be played yet, but thats a software side issue, not network planning. Yes MS and Sony (3rd party) support there current online play with dedicated servers, but DC had several games and functions with direct connect. IGN is whacko.
