Having a clean room would be nice as every speck of dust creates a bubble. I got most of them out but I quickly realized that it's impossible to make it perfect. Hopefully I'll be able to work some of the other bubbles out eventually. I'm not sure if it's worth $15 but at least I don't have to worry about scratches or finger prints any more. It actually comes with 2 protectors, one covers the screen and the buttons (pretty much the whole front face) while the other just covers the screen.
Well I ordered mine a week ago and now I'm questioning that decision after the problems you've had. Hopefully I have no problems with the installation....as long as I can work the bubbles out of the screen area I'll be happy. I just want something on there to protect against scratches and the constant finger print smudging I'm having now. I still wished they would have not used such a high gloss finish on the facing of the psp but at least there are ways to deal with it.

The following article is pretty interesting...

http://consoul.blogspot.com/

A blog named Consoul Games tells how the PSP is running at only 50% capacity. While this was already known, the author tells it in great detail. The basic idea behind it is that current games are locked at 222MHz when the full capacity is 333MHz. The reason for this being, apparently, is to promote better battery life. He also has some great entries about the release of the PSP, the games, and some events.

I still have a couple of small bubbles but I haven't tried to work them out again. Once you start playing, you can't see them so I'm not too worried about them. Overall, I don't regret buying it. It's SO nice to not have to worry about fingerprints and scratches. The thing is not completely invisible but it's close enough and the benefits outweigh the fact that you can tell it's there.

Either the screen protector is hiding it or my dead pixel has gone away. I couldn't find it during the Ridgeracer intro movie last night. I didn't bring up my 'find the dead pixels' jpgs to verify though.

Are there any sites that are following development of home-brew software yet?

They are street dated for 4/19 according to work, but they have been found at some Wal-Mart, and Target stores (ymmv). The titles that are out (or will be Tuesday) are Resident Evil Apocalypse, XXX, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, House of Flying Daggers, Hellboy, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Kill Bill Vol. 1.

I received Hellboy and Once Upon a Time in Mexico Friday 4/15 from amazon so they are shipping them. Both look great on the PSP although I havent watched them all the way through. Still busy playing Untold Legends which has been a lot of fun so far.

Thanks, cancelled my Sandisk order from Amazon, and I'm back to the back of the queue!

Is this a low-speed version, and if so is Sandisk's high speed? I see no difference in the description...

Also, what's this:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...photo&n=507846

which is a red Sony 1 GB for 150? A higher speed one?

So the consensus seems to be that although the new sticks coming out with the higher price point (and bringing down the prices of the older sticks) enable a much faster transfer speed, the PSP as a device is not capable of utilizing this speed anyway.

Exactly. The speed at which the PSP can read and write to the stick is limited and it will get very little if any advantage from a hi speed stick. The bit rate that music and video is played back on the system will be much slower than even the highest speed the slower sticks can go.

Well I finally recieved an email back from mwave.

In regards to your order and email this item is on back order with ETA DATE on our website as mentioned when placing order for this item. ETA DATE that is provided by the manufacturer, and is listed as a guideline only.
Please note that these dates are estimates, and are not guaranteed to arrive on that date.
Mwave has removed item from our website as to many people have purchase this item knowing it is on back order. Therefore the ETA DATE now shows as 04/21/05.

If this is not acceptable, you are more than welcome to cancel the order, and request an immediate credit.

Thank you Multiwave Direct

12 days (4/1 - 4/12). I think their web site said to contact them if it's been 20 days, but I can't imagine being THAT patient.
