Power Player???
I received one of these Power Player systems for Christmas and I was wondering if anyone else owned one. My brother bought it for me from a kiosk in a mall. It is basically one of those plug into a TV systems which has about 70 old nintendo games on it(Super Mario Bros, Excitebike, etc). I know this thing obviously isnt made by Nintendo, which probably makes it illegal. How does the company that makes these get away with it? I just heard on the news that alot of people bought these and they arent working and the kiosk is gone so basically they are screwed. Im just curious for any info on this thing.

From: Mayberry, NC. Really, it is
I got one at a flea market during Labor Day weekend. It came with a 2nd controller shaped like a Genesis pad AND a light gun for Duck Hunt. Best $10 investment I've made in a while.
The guy who sold it said 99% of complaints about these things stem from plugging an AC adaptor into the unit while there are batteries in it. Remove the battery pack unless you absolutely have to use it and you should have no problems.

Sounds like the exact same one I got. I just tried a Google search on it and there really wasnt too much information on it other than a few websites where you could buy it and an article about various consumer complaints. Apparently the thing is sold under several names such as Power Player, Super Joystick, etc.
