I never really found this game all that difficult. I really enjoyed the first POP, I loved the platforming although the fighting was weak. I never really thought the platforming got repetitive, no more so than any other game, most games repeat the same game mechanic whether it be shooting in a fps or shooter for example. Also I thought the puzzles and combat mixed up things enough, and the short lenghth kept the game from being overly repetitive.
Had the first pre-ordered at gamerush, but they never got it in, and for whatver reason, they can't get it in for the cube. I don't quite understand how they can't just get a copy from their distributor. "They know how to take the reservation, they just don't know how to hold the reservation, and that's really the most important part of the reservation." Anyways still bitter about that, cause I really wanted to play this game, but I switched my pre-order to RE4 so it works out alright.

Really? I found it pretty straight forward and easy. I only needed help in the tower room with the mirror statues. And that was pretty far into the game. I think the visions helped a bunch, maybe made it too easy.

Yeah, the game was very linear and it was always clear what to do. The visions show you exactly where you need to go in the area, and it just takes a little exploring to (and understanding of all your moves and how to use them in the environment) to figure out how to get there.

Well I must be in the minority, because I was often lost. I tried PoP 2, and liked it....that is until I died about 10 times trying to figure out what to do in the 2nd level. I really wanted to give the games a try, but they just didn't grow on me. I might pick up PoP 2 again when I see it insanely cheap, but for now, I am getting rid of it.

Anyone experience any glitches in this game?
There is one part that continually hangs 1/4 into the game. Everytime I select retry when I die it seems to glitch out and I can't get past this part.

As somebody who loved the first, I am not enjoying the second as much. I can't quite pinpoint why. Maybe it its the style changes with the new "badass" prince and obvious attempts at getting teen boys to play. Maybe it is just because it's competing with RE4. I am just not compelled to play like I was with the first. I will wait til I get a little farther though.

I was a big fan of the first Prince of Persia (played through it pretty quickly and only really got stumped near the end of the game). However, I've had a few friends try out POP 2 and said they didn't like it that much but they both liked the first one.
I guess I'll need to give POP2 a rent someday.

I appreciate all the heads up about the second one. I guess I will wait till it hits the $15 price range. I loved the first. Even the battles, though redundant. It is a good game to pick up and play for a bit without getting totally involved or frustrated.
