I had a similar problem with GTA and then I ran a lens cleaning disk on my xbox and I haven't had that problem since. Also, mine is just off the floor, so it's pretty dusty. I think it'll probably break by the time I get my nexty gen. consol. It had a good run, I guess.

My guess was so they could leave the door wide open for a sequel. With the quickness of Battlefront 2 & KOTOR II being announced after the release of the original games, I'm surprised RC II hasn't been announced yet. My son and I thought it was a very fun game. My son liked it so much, he wrote a treatment for the sequel. He'd call it Republic Commando: Order 66. You would spend the first part of the game

and then eventually receive order 66 from Palpatine. Hunting Jedi scum would be awesome! He had other ideas as well that were kick-ass for a 10 year old.
