Xbox DVD remote question.
I just bought my daughter an Xbox for Christmas and was gonna get the DVD playback kit, but I thought I would check with you before I did.
Is there anyway to program the remote from a Hughes Direct tv reciever to control the dvd functions on the Xbox?
I had bought a playback kit for mine a couple of years ago and my 2 yr old Son threw it in the trash (I think) so I bought another playback kit and still have the little module that plugs into the front of the Xbox. I was hoping that I can give her my Xbox remote and module and be able to use the extra module and my Hughes remote.
If it can does anyone know the code for it? I suppose it's an RCA code.

I had the hughs HD receiver from last year, and I tried all kinds of codes and could not get it to work. I ended up programing it into my Sony touch screen remote that has learning features. Not sure of the model that I had, but I think that they only had one of these types of receivers.

I thought I had read that it was just an RCA remote and very compatible with universal remotes. I got it to work with my Harmony remote but tjr2mental's problems indicate that it's not as easy to duplicate as I thought.
