Anyone subscribe to IGN insider?
I am thinking of getting a subscription seeing that it's only 20 bucks a year.
Any of you guys subscribe and think that it's worth the price?

I did... worth it? eh... kinda. I don't use it alot, but I figured that's about what I spend on magazines with a CD for demos and crap, so this was just another magazine. I also got access to fileplanet and crap so it kinda pushed me over the edge. The larger video downloads alone make it feel worth it. I don't read articles much or use it daily, so it's hard to tell if I'm getting my 20 bucks worth - however, not having to see those stupid ad pages every other click is a big plus.

I also do for the same reasons. I hated the ads, it is about the cost of a paper magazine and it updates more often. The larger videos are also a huge plus in my book. Although watch out and don't be lured into their forums. *shudder*

I pay for it and it saves me from buying a crap game now and then. It's not the only site I visit for news and reviews since they aren't always right on the money but I still think it's a very good deal.

I did it one year. Impulse buy. It was the week of E3 and only about 10% of the content was available to all so they got my money. I didn't renew.
I'd say if you are a die hard gamer and will d/l and or watch a lot of the movies and pictures than it is worth it.
Casual gamers? Skip it. You will see it all eventually.

So there isn't anything else besides the larger videos?
Hmmm... it's $20 bucks which is a drop in the bucket. I guess I will have to think about it.

for insider content - the video head-to-head and the video reviews are pretty sweet. I think as a subscriber you also get access to their downloads of game demos and crap from fileplanet so you don't have to wait in line. It's like a 20 dollar super-pass.

I've paid for it for the last couple of years. I guess I don't know what the site is like if you don't pay.
I like the video reviews. The 'head to head' reviews where they compare the PS2, Xbox and Gamecube versions of a game are absolutely worthless. Same thing every time. WHAT! The Xbox version has BETTER GRAPHICS than the PS2 version?! The hell you say IGN!
