I started playing my 3rd alt last night. My main is a level 38 mage that i play when my wife plays her level 38 palidan. Since the new baby has been here, my wife hasnt had time to play and ive had lots of extra time to play. So i started other characters. First i built up a tauren warrior to level 26 on PvP server, but kind of got stuck when i couldnt find anyone to team up with on hard quest at 4am. I set up my friends computer with the 10 day pass and two people at that house started playign alliance guys on my server so i built up a dwarf priest to level 18 in the last week. Priest is pretty fun; healing draws so much aggro, though. Last night i had to hold the baby from 2:30am til 4:30am, so my wife could not go nuts from lack of sleep, and my friend (10 day pass got him hooked and he bought the game) was playing an orc rogue so i started up an orc shaman, now level 6.
Im looking forward to when the new baby starts sleeping more so i can play my mage. only 2 levels til i get a horse and i still havent been to scarlet monistary or uldaman. |
i'm 60 and i've yet to go to uldaman (w/ no real plans to do so as well).
i never went to Wailing Caverns. i did find out about Razor Fen East and West. i soloed East a little, killed a couple of bosses (i liked the one skeleton guy w/ the fans. lol, like a rock concert). |
OK, here's another question. My tauren (lvl 15) had a quest from Thunder Bluff that took him to Silver Pines -- simple enough: run/fly to Orgrimmar, take zeppelin, run a little farther.
Now, is there any easy way (around that level) for my Human Paladin to get to Darkshore/another NightElf area? I've heard that there's good mining there and it'd be interesting to explore after working on the Dwarf/Human areas at my current level (16 or 17). |

It's about a 10 minute run and it's pretty safe; just watch out for some lvl 22-25 mobs. Once at the harbor make sure to tag the gryph master near the docks. Then take the boat to Darkshore and that's it!

Another question -- is it just a bug or is there a level association with whether or not your route is mapped out? That is to say, if I'm a certain level and a region is designed for a higher level, will it not show up on the map or give me XP for discovering the areas? Or is this just a bug? It seems pretty random in a lot of places -- such as exploring spots of an area that I've already been in for a few hours plus.

Well just an update if any of you guys want to join up for quests. I am in Guild Eventide.

Druids are actually better tanks and better healers than shammies. They just can't do both at the same time. The main problem with druids is that they require a lot of knowledge of the class to play. You basically need to know how to play a mage, priest, rogue, and warrior, and most importantly, need to know when to use each of those skills and when to run. There's a lot of crappy druids out there that do nothing but root and moonfire spam. |

For 2-man teams, nothing beats a druid + rogue (both have ability to stealth, druid can heal). We're fantastic supporting characters, but we still have the ability to solo pretty easily. I have swiftshifting built up in my tree, which means I can nuke a mob to pull/DoT it, shift to bear to tank, shift to caster to heal myself or others, then shift again, and my mana loss is negligable. For PvE, I'm constantly in demand. Every time I'm in Ironforge I get slammed with requests to group.

Also, I can make swiftness potions and plan on giving them to my shamen. Does the swiftness potion stack with ghostwolf? |

It's hard to get away from other players as a druid until level 20 when you get cat form with dash or level 30 with travel form. Until then, I would recommend putting 5 points in your balance tree (regardless of what build you're doing) and put them all in Nature's Grasp. Hit that, instant roots when they hit you. When I was questing in Stranglethorn Vale, I did a lot of stealth hiding in cat form in bushes. As for your swiftness potion question, can't help you with that one. I stopped using them after I got dash/travel form. |
Looking into starting the game tonight, trying to make a choice on class. Played Daoc and liked the stealth classes, how does druid stealth work?

Not sure if everyone has seen this yet, but it is a pretty damn funny video.

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...=1#post3070249 Edit: Apparently the video was a joke. Most of those guys had armor and weapons that were looted from that room. They are experts that just made a pretty funny video. |

Just started a gnome mage last night on illidan (pvp server). I have some friends who play on the server and they needed a mage. Been reading up on mage stuff, trying to decide what to go with eventually for group pvp. Probably should play a little more before making those decisions though, but thinking frost/arcane from what I have read.
