I bought this when it came out. While it was relatively short, it is one of the best games on Xbox and I reccomend it highly, especially at $15.

An awesome game, period, and If you're a fan of the Riddick character and all the movies and animated prequels then this is a must have, it ties in with the sequels perfectly.

Is that definate? Also is it going to be a temp sale (aka have to get there on Fri or Sat) or the new price? It might be worth the extra $5 just to avoid "black friday" traffic

How is this game for a non-FPS fan?

Well, it's a FPS, so if you dispise the genre, this might not change your mind. What I especially liked about it was the clever use of light and shadows. You cast a shadow against walls that does a wonderful job of orientating you in space. It feels more realistic and less nausea-inducing than any other FPS. It actually is a little easier and more intuitive than Halo. It also has some mild RPG elements, but they're not fleshed out. Overall it's a fine game; really amazing.

The problem I have with it is that it's really short with little replayability. I finished it in a rental, and I rarely finish games that aren't Ratchet & Clank. It has no multi-player opiton (which was a really bad decision, IMO) and the "unlockables" are shockingly lame (a picture of a sketch of a gun and other concept art). Certainly it's worth $14.99, but not $49.99, IMO.

And yes, it'll be $9.99 at EB later this week, so if you buy it at BB, hang onto your receipt to get the difference back.

To add to what decker said, I'd say it is more like Metroid(for lack of a better comparison) than a true FPS. Sure there are some big battles, but there is a lot of exploring and interacting with other characters.

The thing i loved was the story. It was so integrated into the play that you think you are playing a movie. Truely unlike any other game out there. Not to mention the voice acting is great. Cole Hauser even repises his role as Johns. The only other game out there that succeeds at this level, of story seamlessly branched with cut-scenes, is Beyond Good & Evil.

You just really can't go wrong at under $15.

I don't hate FPS, I just got really bored of them (a LONG time ago). I might give this a shot.

Pixy, I'm not a huge FPS guy either. I enjoyed Halo and the Medal of Honor Frontline but thats about it; But Riddick is one of the best games I've ever come across. Its very different from other FPS games and it looks absolutely stunning. I highly recommend this game.

I bought this game a while ago and have not had a chance to play it but this game seems to have gotten good reviews from everyone. Personally, I thought the game was going to be complete crap but was pleasantly surprised by the reviews.
