I just got this and have only been able to play a couple of times. So far it is not as good as the first one. Maybe when I get online it will improve, but right now it is lacking.

I know one thing I hate about the game is the AI of the Ghosts.
When I'm at a corner of a building using it for cover, I will sometimes give the Ghosts the command to advance. One of the Ghosts will sometimes get stuck because he/she is constantly running into me. Why can't they simply take an extra step to go around me? I find myself having to get out of the way and sometimes losing my cover.
Also, when telling the Ghosts to hold a position, why won't they seek cover at that position? There can be a tree or boulder right there but they won't use it.
Lastly when the Ghosts are holding a position, then I advance approximately 50 meters ahead of them, I've had an enemy come between us and kill me. Why didn't the Ghosts shoot at him?
I still enjoy playing this game.

You can not equip your Ops, there AI is lacking. The first level there are 2 or 3 of us w/ rocket launchers, but the copter will wipe us all out if you do not manually take it out, WTF can no one else take a shot at the enemy helicopter taking shots at us? Other AI problems you have mentioned. I do not like that I can not send my guys to a specific point on the map like the old game. I think the game is okay so far, but I wished I would have rented this one first and dropped the $50 this week on KotOR, but maybe the online play will bring this one around for me.

anyone figure out if there's any way to change the sensitivity/speed of your sticks? The default is too slow and I keep getting killed just because I can't turn around in time.

I've looked in the menu and I didn't find anything on X or Y sensitivity.

I am loving this game! I had the first 2 and thought that they were okay. I wasn't sure I would like this game, but I do. I think geting rid of the map waypoint system, and simpler squad controlls make this game better, more like I am the squad leader. And the camera gun just rocks, It is so much fun to use.

This game is kicking my ass. Getting hit once and your dead is what is doing it. Seems like I have to save every few min just to beat levels. Awsome graphics and gameplay though. The M29 is indeed awsome. Kills in one or two shots. Peek around corners with it. Call in airstrikes. This game is great.

I'm having trouble getting into this one, but I haven't played it much yet. So far, I prefer the earlier GR games. I may switch to first person mode and see if I like it better.

One thing I did notice, however, is about 4 or 5 extra maps to play in Firefight mode. Among my favorites is the Abandoned/Ghost Town. Eerie and cool at the same time.

GR2 is a big disappointment so far for me. Lone Wolf mode might save it, but I could do without my 'teammates'. I don't think I've even seen what most people are complaining about, I'm just tired of telling them to advance to a wall for cover only to have my squad wander right into the open where they are gunned down.

Do you guys have any tips for giving your teammates orders?
I'm really struggling to get into GR2. I've learned that you can't play your AI teammates like you do in Full Spectrum Warrior. I tried to tell them to advance to a corner and they just wandered out into the street where they were quickly shot.
Do you just let them do their thing and hope they stay out of the way? I like how in the previous versions you could switch to your teammates and put them in position for covering fire and what not. I feel like I'm babysitting in Ghost Recon 2.
I may give up on the single player campaign and get online. I haven't tried that yet.

Online, when you can get on - you will wait more than you play, is tons better then the single player mode. I had the same complaint as you. I miss the old GR when you could advance your team to a location several clicks beyond yours to setup an ambush or to start taking people out while you and alpha team cleaned up.

In single player I usualy don't give to many team commands. I just let them stick close to me, so I can lead them to cover if needed. Or I will tell them to hold, then scout ahead/take out enemies, then tell them to rally on me.
