Ques: How long is the Xbox Microsoft HD cable?

Can someone tell me how long the Microsoft Xbox HD cable is? My bro's TV is a large screen with inputs in the back and I want to make sure that it will wrap around...

Also, is that all the cable that I need to connect the Xbox directly to the TV's input?

Thanks.

The lenght is 1.5 feet, and you will still need a set of componet cables to run from the box to the TV.

This is all you get when you get the MS HD kit.

The best thing to get IMO is this Mad Catz Component Video unless you want to run the Xbox in surrond sound, but you did not list that so I am not sure.

MS has a new set of cables out that look like that Mad Catz set but with a optical out on it. Here is the new cables from MS.

Also try and get the new pack people are saying they work better and the picture looks better with them.

Topdawg,
I believe that the ones we picked up today are the new ones. We haven't opened them only until we heard back from people to see how long they were. But it looks like the cables you've posted above are the same things we got and they look like they are going to be about 6' or so, am I right? It looks like everthing is included judging by the picture.

Also, this new one doesn't require any other cables like the one that Tjr2mental has posted above, right?

Tjr2mental, the Mad Catz do look promising...you're right, I wasn't planning on using 5.1 and for 1/2 the price the Mad Catz may be a good option...plus, they list the cable as being 7' in length.

I am using the Madcatz on my 55" Mitsubishi and they are great. I have the old MS set up on my brothers 65" Mits and it looks just as good IMO. Plus, I paid 60 for componet cables to go with the old MS setup, bringing the total to $85.

Did not know that MS released a new set up for 5.1... Maybe I will look into that setup to see if it is any better then the old one like TOPDAWG says.

Well I'm not sure I just saw others on forums saying the picture was a little better. I use s-video myself on a flat screen TV from wal mart. It's a Sanyo they make nice TV's.

Also for 5.1 you're still going to need a optical cable. I just stole them pictures off some other forum.

Nope you're just going to need the optical cable for 5.1.

IMO there's no need to spend 60-80 dollars on component cables. i bought the monster component cables for the xbox and then i bought some generic ones for 5 bucks off ebay. i compared the image quality on both and couldn't tell the difference.

i also had a few people look at the two images without knowing which was from what cable and no one could notice a change in pic quality.

save yourself the cash and buy an extra game.
