Worth it to trade 15 DVD's for Metroid Prime 2: Echoes?

Wondering if it is worth the price of admission to trade in 15 old DVD's that Gamestop will give me next to nothing for, but will cover the complete cost of "Metroid Prime 2: Echoes" and then some. Keep in mind I will get this eventually as I love all that is Metroid, but let me know what you think.

Here is the list of trade:

1. The Big Chill
2. First Blood (Special Edition)
3. Raging Bull
4. Comedian
5. The Conversation
6. Heat
7. John Q.
8. The Others (2-disc SE)
9. Shrek 1 (2-disc SE)
10. XX/XY
11. High Fidelity
12. 25th Hour
13. About Schmidt
14. Collateral Damage
15. Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me

Let me know your honest opinions if the trade-off is well worth it?

If there are any GameRush stores in your vicinity, they'll pay you $5/disc - enough to get you MP2 and Metroid Fusion (or something else) used.

That said, I'm no big fan of a 15:1 trade, just feels like you're getting boned.

Is blockbuster still giving $8 per DVD? I traded in 10 and got $80 in store credit.

Sell them individually. You'll get more back. I like Coconuts for my sell backs.

if you have a job, i'd say just save a days worth of pay and buy it later without having to trade in 15 DVDs.

No, that seems pretty stupid. Like someone mentioned, if anything trade them into Blockbuster. You'll get 5 dollars minimum, and would cover the cost easier that way.

And if anything, the Shrek 2-Disc Special Edtion being hard to find in B&M stores ought to net you 10-12 bucks if you sold it alone on the Exchange forum.

Terrible idea.

Bend over now and say cheese.

These trade in deals are mostly a scam. Though the Blockbuster one last month was ok. Still nothing spectacular if you paid $15-20 each.

Try to sell them or find better trade in deals.

This one you mention sucks.

wow! wasn't expecting so many negatives to this one. what if i were to say that 5 of them are in absolute crap shape...no insert and barely a DVD if you know what i mean.
3 of them are duplicates (already had).
1 is coming out in a better edition soon.
1 was originally a gift and thus did not pay.
the others i have no desire to see or see again.

does that change any minds?

also, the point isn't the $, i could pay for it, but i would rather make a trade so i won't have to and get rid of old dvd's that i really don't want.

here's my solution for you:

sell some of those dvd's, and then buy Metroid Prime 2.

I'd say try GameRush first as well for the trade, but if they really are all junk to you, then I say trade away. Better to have something you want than a bunch of junk you don't...

Terrible, horrible idea -- unless you're trading in $1 titles.

Some good movies in there, especially Heat. I wouldn't do it. If you're going to get it eventually, just save your DVD's and wait for a sale.
