What's on your Radar? November 2004

It's that time again! Share what games you are getting/considering/interested in for the next month...just to spark some discussion and perhaps give people an idea of what's coming up.

Special Note: Let's try to limit the discussion to games that are coming out in November, just so the topic doesn't get too broad.

Here's my list:

Lord of the Rings: The Third Age (Xbox, 11/2) -- Looks interesting on paper. I'm taking a "wait and see" approach with this one.

American McGee's Scrapland (PC, 11/8) -- Barely on my radar...Alice was interesting.

Mario Power Tennis (Gamecube, 11/8) -- I liked the N64 game, and this looks fun as well.

Halo 2 Limited Edition (Xbox, 11/9) -- Already pre-ordered thanks to that mtv.com deal.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines (PC, 11/15) -- Solid license + Troika + Source engine = I'm there! This has the makings of a great game. I'd love to see a demo come out. (This was also on my October list but it got knocked back).

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (Gamecube, 11/15) -- Shame on me! I haven't even finished the first game. That one dropped to $19.99 pretty quick, so I'll probably wait for the price drop on this one too.

Call of Duty: Finest Hour (Xbox, 11/16) -- The original PC game was probably my favorite game of 2003 (although remarkably I still don't have the expansion pack). Naturally, this has my interest.

Demon Stone (Xbox, 11/16) -- Meh. Mildly interested.

Half-Life 2 (PC, 11/16) -- Already bought, paid for, and on my machine (Steam). Just waiting for it to be unlocked...

Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap (GBA, 11/16) DELAYED TO JANUARY 2005

Sid Meier's Pirates! (PC, 11/16) -- Can't go wrong with Sid. A remake of a classic title.

GoldenEye: Rogue Agent (Xbox, 11/17) -- Interesting concept. I might check it out if the reviews are favorable.

Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls (GBA, 11/29) -- Return of a couple classics. Might be fun.

Zelda comes out in January.

I'll be getting Metroid 2 the second it comes out. My thoughts could be clouded with anticipation of my adventures of Aether.. but I can't recall anything else I'm too interested in for November.

I just checked some sites at random...

I couldn't find it on the EBGames website.

Gamestop & IGN both have the November 16 date.

Gamespot has 1/10/2005. Nintendo.com also says January 2005 Bummer.

Groucho, it comes out this month in Europe and Japan. Nintendo has stated that they are adding things to the game for the US release. Seems kind of odd they'd throw this game outside the Christmas range.

Isn't that what Nintendo does best? Delaying ALL Zelda games!

Just Halo 2 for now. I'm really backed up on games, and have Goldeneye and MP in my to-be-played file. I'll get the sequels eventually, when I play the originals.

ESPN College Hoops, was hands down the best sports game of the last year, and here's hoping it takes the title again this year.

Just like some other of the people on DVD Talk, I accumulated alot of Blockubster credit and went a little crazy with pre-orders.

XBOX
Halo2 : CE ( Pre-ordered through eCost for $42)
Prince of Persia : Warrior Within
Ghost Recon 2
Call of Duty : finest Hour

PS2
Ratchet & Clank : Up Your Arsenal
Jak 3

I'm pretty much set now until Conker hits the market in Q1 of next year.

I already have pre-ordered at gamerush.

Metroid Prime 2
Halo 2
Prince of Persia 2 (for GCN)

I think that is enough for the month. I will probably buy the other games coming out later, when the price drops start.

Don't have the time to play all the games that are coming out so I'm getting the two that I cannot live without.

Metroid Prime 2: Echoes- first one was one of the best games I've played in years, sequel looks even better.

Viewtiful Joe 2- long live 2D!

and i might be picking up Alien Hominid too.
