Which Burnout 3 is better?

Hello,

Can anyone tell me which console's version of Burnout 3 is better? For Burnout 2, the PS2 version was way better than the XBox one. How about B3?

Also, anyone know what price would NFS:U drop to once NFS:U2 is released?

Thanks in advance!

Never played the PS2 version, but the Xbox version is great.

And who told you that? The Xbox version of 2 had better graphics, more crash modes and a better framerate (from what I read).

I have the Xbox version of Burnout 3 & it is excellent. I have not played the PS2 version.

Actually they're pretty close graphically, but since the graphics are a little better on the Xbox, the controller S handles racing games a little easier (IMO) and Live is certainly the best online system, why not go with the Xbox version?

G4Techtv.com ran a segment on why the PS2 version had better graphics. Explosions and the spark effects (when you're sideswiping) is MUCH better on the PS2. They actually showed two side by side comparisons and the difference was night and day. It was designed with the PS2 in mind and ported. I owned the Xbox version and sold it because of multiple lock-ups as well.

I've played both, and the differences are negligible. As per the G4 post, the PS2 has better particle effects, but the framerates are a little better on the XBOX. Neither is so far ahead of the other that it should be the deciding factor. The big questions are with online play and controller. I much prefer the PS2 controller (largely because it's the one I grew up on), but there are some serious issues with PS2 online play (crappy framerates, for one). I haven't played it on XBox Live, so I can't speak to the online component there, but given the reputation for generally solid online play, I suspect that it would be better than the PS2.

The XBOX version has custom soundtracks if you don't care for the music of teenage angst that they decided to put on there.
