Original Gameboy Advance hardware question??

I just recently made a trade and I got the original Gameboy Advance(not SP one). I didn't get an owner's manual with it...so I will have to ask you smart fellows a question.

Is there anyway to reset a game with out switching the power on and off?? I am playing Super Mario World and sometimes you need to reset and start the game over so you don't use all of your lives?? I am just worried that turning the Gameboy on and off will eventually screw it up. I didn't know if there were some special button presses to just reset the game with out turning it off. Thanks for your help.

Start+Select+A+B will reset any gameboy going back to the original

I believe holding down A+B+Start+Select at once will do a "soft" reset (a "hard" reset being turning the power switch off and on...and a "you should never, ever, EVER do this" reset being pulling the cartridge out mid-game).

It doesn't work with every game though. It is software specific.

Really? I've never seen a GameBoy game that doesn't use that "reset code." I thought it was something that was built into the system's firmware.
