Totally agree. You have to have some overlap in interests or it won't go anywhere, just the same as if you like exactly the same things. It has to be a happy medium.

When I want to talk smart about video games I come to this site. Now if I just want a chat about them I use teamxbox. The mods don't put up with name calling and fan boys here. Teamxbox lets them geeks call each other all types of shit and it's full of fan boys.

Well, my wife isn't the hottest women in existance, but she's good looking. Not typical, though. And very hot to me. I can't stand those [typically blonde] high maintenence scrawny anorexic-looking chicks. Keep them the F*** away from me. When looking at the wedding pictures from this summer my coworker said "What have you got on this woman to get her to marry you".

Honestly, she's a got a few problems stemming from a shitty childhood to overcome : she goes to AA (9 months sober). But I didn't have a great childhood myself... But she's a 34D and NOT FAT (although not a scrawny waif either, as is the popular look these days).

As far as game-playing women not needing to look for guys - no kidding. You should see the way EB/Best Buy clerks, the dudes at Suncoast, or the dudes in the anime store, flock to "see if she needs help". There's this one guy that follows her around talking to her at Wizzywig's (anime store in Ann Arbor, MI). She said he freaks her out. And half the time she catches them looking at her breasts. Nerdy guys are pretty bad with women.

There are plenty of hot girls that are into video games. The problem is finding ones that are single.

Well, perhaps not quite to the level of flocking...but most guys do tend to notice when an attractive woman walks into the store..nerdy or not, game store or not.

I've also seen some non-nerdy guys be complete asses to women as well.

On the flip side of the coin:
I have noticed more than a few occasions where women will wear something tight or revealing *ON PURPOSE* and walk into a store like Best Buy knowing damn well they are going to be looked at and given special attention from the male workers.

To these people saying "you need to meet more people." What's your definition of hot.

Mine's very much the standard "model" type. I've met 1 girl in my life that I'd classify as that type of hot who was into games.

So they do exist, but they are rare.

My wife plays video games, sometimes more than I do. I'm pretty sure she's not a freak.

Yeah it's great. I can get a game for myself and then tell my wife hey I'd was thinking you'd like this game. So I score some points and still get what I want MAHAHAHAHA.
