Another note.. I hope the Logitech wireless receivers fit okay in that, it appears that the controllers ports are indented inside and under the memory card ports.

The size is not a selling point to me I mean once it's in your HT who cares how big the thing is not like you going to carry it around. Also the fact it's small is not sexy to me it's like saying I have a small penis and women find it sexy.

WTF?

So I wonder if you'll be able to do disc swapping tricks (to play imports) more easily with this new system?

fujishig 09-21-04 03:08 PM

Wait a second... assuming that this new model is to replace the old one, they're already giving up on the HDD peripheral? What in the world? Why would they do this?

I guess I was dumb enough to buy FFXI, so it's my fault, but still...

Well, to make the PS2Two smaller, I think not include a HUGE gaping hole for it is a smart idea. The whole point was to make it SMALLER.

I've finally found a quote for my Sig!

Why the fuck didn't they do this in the first place? looks good though.

Technology improves :)

How many HD games are there? It was doomed from the start. Who's going to support a peripheral that has penetrated less than 2% of the market? Heck, they probably did it to eliminate the most popular PS2 HD software yet - HDLoader.

I guess I'd hoped that it would get a little more support, at least compatible games, like RE Outbreak or Syphon Filter. But now they're pretty much telling developers not to include compatibility because newer systems won't have it. Ugh. I only got a few months of FFXI out of that 100 + bucks.

Well its not like your old PS2 and Hard Drive will automatically stop working when the new PS2 comes out.

fujishig 09-21-04 08:14 PM

Nah, but my PS2 is on it's last legs, and even cleaning the lens is not stopping the dreaded Disc error problem. So I'll eventually have to get another PS2... :)
