Donkey Konga 29.99 preorder with controller!

I just saw this over at CAG and have already preordered it. It does indeed have both the game and the controller, not just the controller. If you add the coupon 10off25 you get 10% off which is essentially free shipping. Enjoy! I know I will!

I play the demo at Toys B Us.. it was disturbingly fun.

Really want to see how multi-player works.

My wife is dying to pick this up. I already preordered it at GameStop, but I will cancel it and take this deal instead.

Another nice game deal today.

there were a couple of kids playing at a local toys-r-us... i volunteered to buy one for them just so they would stop! the sales lady said she wished that she could but it was a demo model. they must've played non-stop for an hour while i was browsing thru the cheap stuff.

what does that mean? it must be pretty addictive to play but really annoying to other shoppers.

That's gotta be too good to be true... it's just gotta be.

I'll book mark it though... don't have the money to preorder it right now.

That's the beauty of it though, they don't charge your card til it ships (that is what is says on the order confirmation) so you aren't out any money til next month. I bought it couldn't resist.

Actually - it means that TOYSRUS is abused as a glorified child care center to bad parents...

You spent an hour there? Wow... I was feeling a little shameful about my 45 minute loitering session. After about the 6th or 7th time of being asked if I was looking for a specific game or not, I decided I'd been there too long, grabbed my game and left...

lol, i was looking for some Stikfas and other toys as well... but couldn't find anything. i could hear the drumming from the other side of the store (or maybe it was just the mental echoes).

i didn't have much luck though... picked up Lord of the Rings Two Towers and Kya. really wanted to get panzer dragoon orta.

anyway, i think you can get this deal at samgoody's as well (are they the same company?)

Yes they are the same company. And this isn't a bad deal at all. Don't even own a Gamecube yet but might just have to get in on this deal. Are we thinking this is a misprice?

And don't forget about the "free CD and/or DVD opener with every purchase" whatever the heck that is.

I remember when Sam Goody's had Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles for $19.99. I never got that game, and I may not get this one either, but I guess I may as well give it a try. I was going to buy it any, so maybe getting it for $20 under MSRP would be good.

Yeah, I couldn't believe the price either. I think it is a misprice as supposedly just the controller will sell for 29.99 but this seems to be the game also. I guess only time will tell.

As for the game itself, I played it over at TRU and my god was it fun. I didn't want to spoil it for myself, so I only played 1 song, but it was very fun =o)

The game isn't coming out without a controller.

I mean there is no game only package

I thought the selling price was going to be a lot higher then $50. Hmm....I don't know if this will price drop though. Doesn't seem to be the type of game to do so.

Great deal! Reading the forum at CAG, someone posted this:

In response to your email, after researching this issue, we have found that the item does indeed come with the controller. Sorry for the mass confusion!! I personally verified this info with Nintendo directly, so rest assured, it does come with one of the drum controllers.

Please let us know if there is anything else that we can do for you.

Sincerely,
Matt McClure

Good enough for me! I went ahead and preordered.

I think the real question should be: does it come with the game?

If not I'll just end up playing the bongo to the radio. That should annoy my neighbors.

Just ordered mine. This demo was fun, plus I can use this to entertain my nephews when they come over. Nice find!

Can't beat that @$29.26 - not even with a bongo drum.

I also played this in Toys R Us. While it was moderately fun, I wasn't really sure what I was doing. Standing up is NOT the way to play this game. So I ordered one. If I hate it, I can most assuredly get my $30 back on eBay!

Nice deal, let's hope this works out. Seems too cheap, fingers are crossed though.

Anyone know how much the controllers will retail for without the game. If I wanted to play this game with my wife I am assuming I would need another controller. Are they listed anywhere for individual sale?

According to a preview I saw, in multiplayer other players can use the standard controllers.
