MVP Baseball 2004 HELP
Got this game, and so far in like 14 games have only been able to hit 1 homerun. Was just wondering if someone knew the secret, and would be willing to share it with me. Thanks, I have it on PC right now, but I would assume the technique on any other platform would be similar to that on PC.

I don't know if this is the 'secret' to hitting home runs but I generally press up/up-left/up-right on the analog stick when hitting the ball and that tends to get the ball in the air. If I have a left handed hitter at the plate I will generally try and pull the ball to the right, so I'll pull up and to the right on the analog stick and then hit the 'A' button to make contact. It also depends on where the pitch is.
I started my season back when the baseball season actually started and had lots of problems hitting homers early on. As of now I'm 125 games into the season and think I'm getting the hang of it. I'm playing as the Angels and Glaus has 38HR, Guerrero has 28HR, and Guillen 26HR. It's kinda funny because my totals are right around what Guillen and Guerrero actually have. I'll say this, MVP is probably the toughest baseball game I've played to hit home runs in.

I stopped playing this game, but there were a lot of issues with people being able to hit home runs with left handed hitters. The latest patch was supposed to fix it though.

I have it on PC and started off my Red Sox season using the keyboard. I didn't do so well with the keyboard so I went out and bought the Logitech Dual Action gamepad. Since then, I've been able to hit homeruns easily. Like Setzer said, hold up-right for left handed hitters, and hold up-left for right handed hitters. I'm in early August of my season, and I've hit about 125 HR (not sure of the exact count) each with Nomar and Manny Ramirez.
