Star Fox delayed til 2005

Star Fox Delayed
According to IGN's sources, GameCube's new Star Fox game won't be making it out of Namco's studios this year, as planned. Supposedly, it's now been pushed back to 2005, though no official word has been yet handed down on the issue.

Though there are a dozen good reasons not to rush the game for this holiday season, the foremost is almost certainly that the title still has plenty of rough edges to be smoothed out before release. While the E3 demo appeared much, much improved over the previous year's build, most were of the opinion that the game still had a ways to go. Even the game's title was still up in the air, being tossed around internally as both "Star Fox" and "Star Fox 2."

As soon as there's official word, it'll be here.
Not too big of a deal for me, as I am not a huge Star Fox fan and wasn't really planning on buying it til it was really cheap anyways. There are too many games coming out that I want to pick up before this.

Back when I had a cube that was the one game I was really looking forward to, held off on selling in anticipation of it. Glad I said to hell with it, at the rate they're going I will easily be able to get a cube used off ebay for the same price as the game when it comes out.

Great, the only GC game I wanted, and it's delayed. Bye bye Cube, hello Xbox.

This is good news, I'd rather spread out the releases a bit anyway.

Well let me first say the Star Fox 64 is one of my favorite titles of all time.

Now, this new starfox has looked like crap since it's inception. Even after a year of work it still looks terrible. I don't know why they can't just give us starfox 64 with new graphics

I remember seeing the first SF at Sears and thinking I had to have that game. SF 64 was really good as well. What they are doing with this title I have no idea. It seems as if they are intentionally killing of one of their more popular series.

Is it just me or is Nintendo's fall lineup looking really slim? i guess the company really IS going down the toilet! (that was sarcasm btw). There are a ton of good games coming out for GC this xmas anyway. No biggie.

Good thing this game is being ported to the X-Box

This game is being developed by Namco's Ace Combat Team, but all the video's I've seen don't look quite up to ace combat yet so I'm glad they delayed it, I like Star Fox so its good to see they're taking the time to do it right.

I assume that was a joke, given that Star Fox is made up of nintendo owned characters and thus won't be ported to another system.
