Western rpgs are making their way to consoles now so that genre is covered (kotr, fable, jade empire, baldurs gate, morrowind, bards tale). I've been tired of the RTS genre since post starcraft (WC3 didn't do it for me), so for me that leaves FPS and MMORPGs. Of course it's hard to surpass a ut2k4/cs lan party trash talk fest but these don't come along too often
