Arcade Game Restoration

I just picked up a Dynamo Arcade cabinet and it has a 25 inch monitor. I want to completely restore it.

It does have some nicks and scratches on it....

Where can I find original sideart, bezzels and marquees for games that I can buy?

This is going to be an original Street Fighter 2 machine and I want it looking brand spanking new.

Any help would be appreciated

Your 2 best places to start are Google & Ebay.
Just be advised that side art is not cheap.
Good clean side art can approach $100.
Bezel's & Marquee's can be alot cheaper.

I had several dedicated games like Galaxian
& Vanguard that I put way too much money in.
I sold all my coin-ops and purchased a gamecube
last year. They just took too much room up.
And they were hard to keep minty fresh.
As like you said they get nicked up real easy.

Though I really enjoyed restoring them
at the time.

Well, as of now I have 3 cabinets....

Capcom Impress Cabinet(Japanese)
Neo Geo Mini 4 Slot(Japanese)
and now a Street Fighter 2 Dynamo Cabinet...

It's red and has a Z-style design. I am wondering how I am going to go about restoring the sides of it since it does have some nicks and scratches. Would that red hard coating come off or would I have to buy a whole new particle board panel to replace that side??

Also some of that plastic border edge lining is coming off and I am going to need to replace that too. This is going to be my last project. I've always wanted a dedicated SF2 machine since this was the game that changed my life in so many ways.

I tried searching ebay and there is nothing on there now and google only gives me rom sites and crap sites....not many sales sites

Wish I had a cabinet.. i'd do this in a hot minute..

It'll play streetfighter 2 just fine. If it's going to be your last one, at least make it play EVERYTHING

There's also http://www.arcadecontrols.com/arcade.htm
The guy has a book on building custom cabinets and it's getting really good reviews on Amazon.

I have that book, and it's worth every penny. I wish I would have had it when I built my first one.

Quit tempting me to buy that book and start building one! Unfortunately I don't have the space, especially to build it. If I owned a restaurant or a bar I'd love to build one with a working coin box

Well, here is the cabinet I just bought....as you guys can see it's gonna need some tlc but I think its going to make a great cabinet.

Oh and I already have an interface that lets you play Xbox, PSOne, PS2 and Dreamcast on any Jamma Cabinet with no modification Here are some pics

Thanks For All The Helpful Links I am sure those will come in handy!

Are those cigarette burns on the 1p/2p buttons?

If it is - that's serious old school. Those were the days.
