Sonic Mega Collection Plus announced for Xbox/PS2

http://www.talkxbox.com/article719.html

The list:

Sonic The Hedgehog (Sega Genesis)
Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (Sega Genesis)
Sonic The Hedgehog 3 (Sega Genesis)
Sonic & Knuckles (Sega Genesis)
Sonic 3D Blast (Sega Genesis, Saturn)
Sonic The Hedgehog Spinball (Sega Genesis)
Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (Sega Genesis)
Sonic & Knuckles lock-on: Sonic The Hedgehog 2
Sonic & Knuckles lock-on: Sonic The Hedgehog 3
Sonic & Knuckles lock-on: Blue Spheres
The Ooze
Comix Zone
Flicky
Ristar
Sonic the Hedgehog (Game Gear)
Sonic Chaos (Game Gear)
Sonic Drift (Game Gear)
Sonic Labyrinth (Game Gear)
Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (Game Gear)
Sonic Blast (Game Gear)

Anybody noticed what's missing from this list? I'm seriously beginning to wonder if there's some sort of weird rights issue that's keeping Sega from re-releasing Sonic CD and Knuckles Chaotix. But then they released Sonic CD for the PC awhile back (I think they still sell it, even) so that doesn't seem like a good reason. But hey, we can finally play The Ooze again! Grumble grumble....

Damnit! Before I opened this thread I just knew they wouldn't include Sonic CD. Atleast I have it for Sega CD still.

I see the PC port of sonic CD in stores every now and then for $10 or less in the bargain pc game section, so that's an option for someone wanting to pick it up.

It does suck ass that they keep ommitting it though.

$20 sounds good to me. I never even played Sonic CD, so that wont stop me from buying this.

OH SWEET JESUS YES
I'm ALL over this. (no CD but more than enough games here for me to buy it, as I don't have a Cube).
Plus I never had a genesis. . .I remember going to the store just to play Comix Zone.

Where in that link does it say PS2 though?

Sonic CD is the pinnacle of sonic games, all other sonic games kneel before it.

It doesn't, since it's just an Xbox site. But there is a PS2 version.

How much will the PS2 version be? $20 sounds great since it has more than the GC version. Damn, I have the GC version!! Aghhh...

Sonic Chaos was pretty fun for the Game Gear, but I won't sell my GameCube version for this.

You can actually get Sonic Chaos (and the other GG Sonic games) in Sonic Adventure DX for the Cube. The only previously uncollected games here are Comix Zone and The Ooze.

I'll buy it. I don't know why I get more excited about "collection" games than I do with new games.

I wish they would have put the Sonic CD game on here as well. Not to mention the Sonic Adventure 1 & 2.
