nice thread... lots of games that i wasn't even thinking about, but now that they've been mentioned, i'm like, "oh, yeah! that's a good one! i should get it."
Final Fantasy 12
Gran Turismo 4
Rise of Kasai (sweeeeet)
a sequel to Ico (if they make it)
some sort of disgaea-like game - the name escapes me at the moment
probably a lot more that i can't recall

Over the past year, I bought very few video games. (1) I had other stuff to do, (2) didn't really see anything I wanted, and (3) was enjoying what I already had (coughsocomcough).
That being said, there are so many coming out soon that I want!
Definitely:
- Burnout 3
- GTA: SA
- NBA 2K5
- Smackdown v. Raw
Maybe:
- NHL 2K5
- Silent Hill 4
- NFS Underground 2
- Street Fighter II collection

My Ps2 gets very little use...I would love to understand japanese, they get around 20 games I want to each that is released here. Hell, even Tales of Symphonia is coming to the ps2 over there in September.

A little observation, I've noticed that almost every game everyone is looking forward to is a sequel or 3rd or 4th sequel to a game. Not that it matters but I thought it was interesting.
Oh, and I forgot to add Suikoden IV.

Same, Criterion studios. They say they pushed the PS2 to the utmost limits this time around.
Check out this clip
Oh, also,
PSW UK Mag minireview
"Uppers:
>Best at speed
>Best at spectacle
>Best at crashes
>Best at style
Downers:
>Real cars would've been nice
>Indie rock may annoy
>Smug DJ certainly will
>Just buy it, okay?
Graphics: You've never seen such gorgeousness | 10
Sounds: Scintillating crash sounds are second to none | 9
Gameplay: The best arcade racer on PS2 to date | 10
OVERALL SCORE
Just when we're swamped with tasty looking car games, along comes Burnout 3 to raise the bar so damn high, we can't see any of them catching up. Sell your liver for £40, limp to the shops and buy it.

Er, *ahem* to stay on topic.

Street Fighter Collection
Phantom Brave
ICO sequel
Some "maybe/wait and see" titles as well.
