Sorry guys...still trying to set the league up. Does anyone know if theres a trick to getting around all these failures?

I don't get it. Everytime I try to set up a league, it says failure. Everytime I try to retrieve my league, I get failure.

If the league is up, the league name is dvd2 and the password is talk.

OK, here's where I'm confused.

Xbox Live - I stuck on the screen where it says getting leagues. I'm not sure if it is timing out or the servers are too busy

ESPN League - DVD2 League - There is a DVD2 league started by someone that goes by ellas dad. His team is Buffalo, but I dont think anyone picked the bills. I'm signed in, but dont see anywhere for a password.

UPDATE: Just got into Live and found DVD2 League. It shows Cowboy as the admin. OK so far..

Well, I tried to join the league with the saints. Now it says joining the league failed. I tried again, but this time it said I'm part of this league. Something is messed up. Oh well, looks like I'm in......Also, it signs you in the ESPN League site.....

If you guys are having trouble with Live try going to ur main Xbox screen under settings, and turn off auto logon. Then go to Network Settings and manually connect. I went from having no green bars to 5 this way. My friend did the exact same thing, and he had the same result with his ping.

Hopefully all these problems will be fixed with fridays update. I was not able to get into leagues last night, but was able to yesterday morning at 8:00am est.

I don't know whats happening, but I tried logging in at 8AM and everything worked fine. It's such a difference compared to logging in at midnight. The servers are probably getting hammered with everyone trying to start leagues.


So our league is set up. Just try at odd hours to join.

Try to join the league by saturday evening. I'd like to start the week on a sunday.

It seems like we have an 8 week league instead of 10. I don't know how to change the settings, so we'll leave it at 8.

Hmm... I searched for the league yesterday (using dvd as the search characters) and it didn't find anything, not even the first league... nobody better take my Bucs!!!

I won't be able to sign up until Sunday. Thats when I pick up the Xbox. Hope I can still play.

wow...I've played 3 games online. every time I play, it's so laggy that me and my opponent end up talking trash about sega instead of each other. has anyone had a smooth game around 11PM est?

Always. Hopefully tomorrows upgrade fixes the issues people are having.

I had a great game against my friend with zero lag, and the headphones broke up maybe twice. It was a pain to get it started, with both of us having to reboot our Xbox's but after that two games of no trouble.

Nevermind, I picked up the xbox today. I'll sign up tomorrow.

We're still missing half the owners. Some people have recieved the patch and they say they can finally get access to the leagues. Try and jump on tonight or saturday and set things up.

where is the patch? do you go to dowload content?

I thought I read on the espn message board about a patch and how people are getting it, but I can't seem to find it anymore. Oh well, I'll have to wait til I get home before I can find out.

The patch is server-side, so it's on VC's end, there's no patch to download on our end. I've been in there a couple times without problems, everyone should be able to get signed up today.

It's working pretty good now at least the league stuff was. I able to get right in. Now I wonder when they will do a roster update.

Cool... I couldn't even browse the leagues last night. When are the first games going to be scheduled? This week?
