After a weekend of ESPN NFL 2K5...

I thought I was the only one who could never kick a fieldgoal in EA games. It got to the point where I would go for first down on fourth even in field goal range, just because it wasn't a guarantee that I'd hit the kick...
I still don't like the dumb "floating arrow" on kickoffs/punts, though.

for all those having trouble with kicking in ea games...
You probably just don't have the opportunity to kick that many long field goals. Thats why they make a practice mode. just jump in and get the timing down with your kicker. You'll be kicking 50 yard field goals in 5 minutes.
Practice your onside kicks too. EA has the best onside kick once you figure out the trick. Play around with it, I'll show you if we ever play madden online.

Does anybody else get the "floating arrow" on FG and extra points now in ESPN? I know they didnt have it last year, but it seems to randomly come up on this years edition. I missed an XP because of it last night, breaking my streak of about 20,000 XP's in a row.

just picked up a copy today. the default difficulty seems weird, I played the chargers and lost 28-0, then played the browns and beat them 58-0. my only gripe is the framerate problem that pops up now and then for the PS2 version, other than that I am really happy with this game.

I just changed my difficulty setting to the level above default, and noticed the floating arrow on FG and extra points. I figured it was because of the difficulty change, but maybe it's an "upgrade"?

Well, the $20 tag (less a $5 coupon) pulled me into 2K5. So far I am still used to Madden, but am adapting very well. Running seems a lot easier, but the passing game is kind of frustrating.
I miss the front office of Madden. I really liked running the whole business aspect of the team (setting prices for hotdogs, tickets, T-shirts, etc.). 2K5's weekly prep is still leaving me a little uncertain -- I seem to be doing OK, but it just seems time consuming.
I also miss the team relocation and create-a-team/uniform feature. What is up with the WLAF-style uniforms on 2K5?
Nonetheless, 2K5 was definitely worth $15 and I am going to put off Madden2005 for awhile, maybe quite awhile.

What are people doing to earn all of these crip points? Are there any tips for things that will give larger amounts of points while not creating a Super-Team to beat up on a weaker team?
