There has been a lot of interest in creating a DVDTalk League for this game so i Figured I'd start the main thread for it. We can figure out when to start it (do we want to wait a few weeks to let everyone get acclimated with the game?) how we choose teams and so forth. When you start a league your league gets it own website, and it has its own league forum on it. So after I start the league we can use that forum to discuss. Team choosing wise my suggestion is for everyone to submit 3 choices ranked in importance. And we can randomly chose a sort or seniority ofder to clear up any people who have the same matches. Any other ideas or comments? We have room for only 32 teams!!

ya i think that a general no "cheese" rule is kind of understood. we can have a way for people to complain to the commish about that and what not. by the way:

Guys, I stopped using xbox live awhile back but I am about to get my account going again this week. I'll be picking this title up as soon as i can also and would like to join the league. I really only have one preference for teams, broncos, but I will play whichever team I get. Can't we setup some kind of draft?

I agree with all of those; however, I think you might want to consider being able to go for it if the scenario is something along the lines of 4th and inches and you are somewhere between your opponents 30-40 yard line.

What's the total time we want to take per game for the dvdtalk league?

From last years football games:
3 minute quarters take approx. 30 minutes to play
5 minute quarters take approx. 45 minsutes to play
8 minute quarters take approx. 1 hour to ply.

I'd be part of the 5 min camp..works well for NCAA 2005.

ya five min works for me just like NCAA. and obviously its not like you can never go for it on 4th down (especially when its inches to go) in fact 9 out of ten time if its inches i go for, something i think they should do in real life.

as far as doing a draft, i think the method i have going right now (if every goes right) might not necessitate a draft. if when i see everyone's list it looks like a huge mess we can do a draft but if a few people have to get their second choice i think that will we the fair and quickest way to do it. but than again i always play along league majority rule.

I would love to get in on this, I should have the game in about a week. The only team I really want would be the Bills, and I don't really see anyone getting upset about not getting them =o) Also, I think a fantasy draft for the rosters, or just an automatic draft of the rosters wouldn't be a bad idea. It evens out the teams so that whoever is stuck with bengals can still have a shot =o)

I don't know how everyone else feels, but that would kind of take away the whole point of wanting to play with a particular team, not to mention the time it would involve.
