Recently, I bought Rollercoaster Tycoon, and I am hopelessly addicted to it now. I also enjoy playing Theme Hospital (another sim game). What are some other fun sim games similar to these two games? I don't like combat sim games like Command & Conquer and Warcraft.

Rollercoaster Tycoon is by far the best game of this nature, and the upcoming part 3 looks fantastic.

In terms of similar games I recommend Zoo Tycoon. It can be found on the cheap bundled with the expansions.

Another fun game of this type is Sim Golf.

The Sims, and Sim City 4 are the best in my opinion. I didn't like Zoo Tycoon, but Sim Golf was alot of fun.

I'll third SimGolf. You can find it cheap (or could last I saw) and it is really a fun game.

I know Railroad Tycoon is popular with some people. I do not know how 3 is, but 2 was well received and can be found for $10.

If you want more of a city-building approach, I enjoyed both Pharaoh and Zeus (and their expansions: Cleopatra and Poseidon), and Tropico had its moments (I never tried the sequel though).

Animal Crossing (GCN)

Emperor:Rise of the Middle Kingdom was a fun game it has a little fighting in it, but you can set it up so you don't have to fight at all.

Sims 2 comes out on Sept 17, and thats looking really good.

Civilization 3 is crack.
