PC Software Bargains at Circuit City

Wanted to give a heads up....was at Circuit City tonight and it looked like they were prepping a very big sale on PC software games...i don't have a list, but looks like the majority of the games they had were going on sale.

Today at work (CC), all games no matter what platform, were ringing up at $5 off. Pretty good deal if you want to pick up some older titles.

Can anyone confirm that it is for ALL games and ALL platforms?
If it is unadvertised, how do you know if it is 5 bucks off?
Is it only at select stores?

I didn't see anything at the Circuit City in Crystal Lake, IL. Nothing "appeared" to be on sale. ... and even if it was $5 off the prices, the prices were not as good as posted here.

I did not buy any or even ask for a price check, so this is just my observation.

You probably missed out then because the deals are there. Don't listen to what the price tags say! CC is VERY slow to update their price stickers. This sale is actually in their Sunday ad, page 8-9, it says: Save $5 to $20 on all video & PC gaming software, so every game in-stock is at least $5 off this week. Here's some of the stuff I got:

Wild Arms 3 PS2 [price sticker $39.99] scanned at $4.96
Treasure Planet PS2 [price sticker $39.99] scanned at $4.96
Oddworld Munch's Oddysee GBA [price sticker $29.99] scanned at $4.96
Defender PS2 [price sticker $29.99] scanned at $4.96
Halo PC [price sticker $49.99] scanned at $9.99
LOTR War of the Ring [price sticker $29.99] scanned at $9.99
Shenmue II Xbx PC [price sticker $49.99] scanned at $4.96
Wave Race Blue Storm GC [price sticker $39.99] scanned at $4.96
Warcraft III Frozen Throne Expansion PC [price sticker $19.99] scanned at $9.99
Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius GC [price sticker $39.99] scanned at $4.96
Rock N Roll Racing GBA [price sticker $29.99] scanned at $4.96

No...

Unfortunately, you're forced to carry embarassingly large piles of games up to the counter for the clerk to price scan. But then you're actually rewarded with the varied responses, ranging from the "Once he leaves I'm gonna grab the last copies of this game for myself" look, through to the "How the hell did he know these were really so cheap" look.

Actually it makes me feel shady and suspicious, like I'm doing something wrong... almost like insider trading. But that's just me.

I always ge the "how the hell did he know these were really so cheap" look at CC. I was pretty sure the games I was price checking were $5 a piece, but I wanted to make sure. Sure enough they scanned at about $5 despite the price sticker. I always get asked if I work at another CC, how I knew the games were so cheap, or if there's anymore left on the shelf.
