I have the gold medal in Mushroom Cup, but can do no better than 2nd or 3rd on the other Cups?

I use either Mario and Yoshi or Yoshi and Bowser as my teams. Should I be using different character? Should I even bother trying? What else is there to unlock?

Use some small characters and pick the green baby buggy.

Practice, and yeah the small dudes are better.

Toad and Paratroopa in the Bullet Cart is a really goo setup.

I think I'll try the smaller characters. A question:

Do I need to become really good at the mini-turbo (while drifting) to beat 150 cup?

Ok, so the first time I tried the Flower Cup with small characters I ran away with it. I guess that was my problem.

I use a koopa and diddy kong w/ koopa car. Koopa is great for offense for red shells, and Diddy is good for defense with super bananas while you are coasting in first place. good balance for me that always works.

I didn't figure out the whole mini-turbo thing until way after I unlocked everything so you shall not need it to win the harder cups.

Try and beat it with a friend in 2 player mode.

I've now recieved the gold medal on all levels except the last two cups in "mirror mode". This game is a lot of fun.

Within 2 days, from complete and utter suicidal despair to success. God bless DVDTalk.
